Were charges pursued or did DA feel feel it wasn't a slam dunk case with enough headlines I'm really curious. Life that can't protect/ provide for itself (such as children, most forms of domesticated animals. special needs people and some of our elderly people) need to have active, decent people, police, prosecutors/defense attorneys and politicians that care about doing what is right (I think most adults can agree on some basic rights regardless of politics) than what gets donation dollars or re election money. How we treat the vulnerable and how dedicated our systems are in providing justice (doesn't mean jail, judicious use of forced community service to the population you wronged can help rehabilitate people) directly reflects on everyone, including me. I'm not seeing enough of the change I want to see. Welp time to put in some work. This is me gathering my thoughts and I'm not trying to soapbox peach to anyone. Thank you for whatever you do, even watching these videos provides some help.

I know the feelong of having the tremendous load off ones shoukders when a rescue finally gives the belly up stap of approval to its new parents.
Last year we reacued a 2 year old pomeranian. She was atta hed to my girlfriend at the hip but it took her 7 months for her to get the courage to ask me for a head scratch. A month later the belly ups started.
I was super patient with her and most importantly wanted to show her that not a single male in her life was going to hurt her again. Im her father and ill do whatever it takes to give her the best life.

Prison is too good for the cruelty caused to animals.
They should be put on a Register of some sort! But then again all adopters should have a proper check. I know it seems a bit daunting, but if your genuine then you nothing to worry about. Also, bring back Dog License as I'm pretty sure people would be happy to pay. I know I would.
Pretty little pup doing so well, bless her. I hope she gets a loving home soon. Thank you kind people for what you do.

Starvation like this dog happens over time, not overnight. So, why didn't someone, anyone, help this dog earlier, before it got to this point It's not rocket science. All it takes is some basic food, water and safe shelter. These are basics all living creatures need, both humans and animals alike. Your small act of kindness will make a profound difference in the lives of these animals in need.

I don’t understand why and how there are cruel people and cruelty out in the world especially towards animals Why and how could a person do that At the very least call humane society, leave a post or a note somewhere where it can be seen. I hope the people that do that have a very unhappy and miserable life. Thank you ladies for loving that beautiful gorgeous sweet little girl.

Wow. I got emaciated laying in the woods after I get hit around by a guy I liked; me and the puppy are so similar and I caught it by eye something that happens when we're gaining the weight back in how her spine got ahead of her, but then it looked like she heard me and got it together and in mind and then she said my last name; Dowflower! The world is so magical.

I can’t stand people in general. Such cruelty like what y’all rescued her from combined with things I see almost daily, I’ve just about written off people in general. I’ll trust an animal well before another person. She’s absolutely adorable. I would be in Heaven with an animal with that kind of personality.

wow, this was initially heartbreaking, but i audibly yelled AHH SOOOO CUTE! multiple times while watching this video and seeing her progress. She has the most CUTEST eyes, and this I say as a crazy cat lady lol, and the CUTEST little perfect smile. What an angel, i am so happy she got adopted, she is insanely precious

Omg when I seen her ribs I wanted to burst into tears I really hate seeing children and animals treated with cruelty. They are so defenseless and it’s completely messed up! I’m so glad she found a loving family to take her in. What a hell of a turn around and I’m so grateful for that!

All about body heat! My rescue was skin and bones and she snuggled so close to me at night. now she is a chunk and pushes away from me when under covers snuggling and gets too hot. I miss the head on mine drool on my cheek and if she was any closer to me she would be behind me! Lol.

I adopted a 1 year old dog about 4 years ago. She was so skinny and it was clear that she was mistreated before. Now she is one happy dog that look like she is always smiling but she still get nightmares from time to time. Whoever had her before didn't deserve her.

Thank you for adopting her but why do people foster so much in America Surely, it's heart breaking for a traumatised rescued puppy or dog to have to be rehomed again, just when they start to feel safe. In the Uk we don't do that as much, we just adopt and keep them.

Look at that beautiful face and smile. Thank you so much for giving her a chance to have a wonderful, safe, and happy life. Shame on anyone for being nothing more than monsters for harming any animal, they are living and breathing just like any person.

Roo is absolutely beautiful. thank you for not giving up on her.
thank you for welcoming her into your life. thank you for foster
failing this sweet face and adopting her. hopefully Roo's siblings
found loving forever homes of their own.

I wonder what happened to their mom. its so heartbreaking for me just thinking of how they got taken away from her just to kill them by starving them to death and her not being able to help her babies I hope they found her too

I had a shelter dog named Roo. We never much used his middle-name which was also Roo. He was a small mixed-breed Aussie cattle dog who looked like a big Jack Russell wearing an Aussie cattle dog suit. Best dog the family ever had.

When she is belly up with you like that, it means she trusts you completely. She might actually fall asleep like that if she trusts you 100%. It's a beautiful thing to see such contentment as that.

I hate whoever put that little puppy and a heat wave for who knows how long it could be one hour two hour three hours four hours days months weeks anyway that puppy is so cute. I love all puppies.
reply

Roo is adorable. When they brought out Roo and her sibling at the beginning, there is no way I could have chosen between the two. I would have had to come home with both.
reply

She's adorable, so glad you adopted her! It always breaks my heart when foster dogs do so well and bond with other dogs in the home, to then have to go to a new scary place.
