My cat Jerry has done this practically from day 1 of having him, BUT it HAS to be on my shirts. Drives me up a wall cuz i cant stand soggy clothes. He's gonna be 4 in April. I've had him for nearly 4 years now, which will be 4 years in, I believe, August. Got him when he was 4 months old and he chose me. Went to a rescue that only deals with cats to just look to see if i wanted a kitten or an older cat and i never got the choice because he wanted me lol. Love him to death, but he can get on my nerves often, just like toddlers! I hope to have him for a long while because he reminds me of my childhood cat

She was taking away from mom to young. Pups and kittys that suckle do it for comfort its a strong memory of when they felt true comfort and safety. so they try to emulate it on things like stuff animals, pillows or just air even. my female pit who looks exactly like this dog in color but her ears and gray n face is white. she was taking from her mom at 3 weeks, mom had killed the rest of the litter so there wasn't a choice. But she suckles in her sleep alot. Its cute but heartbreaking.

It disappoints me deeply that these sweet animals get put to sleep simply because they don't yet have a family.
I get they don't have infinite room, but these animals are OUR RESPONSIBILITY.
WE domesticated them. Which means it's our job to care for them now.
I long for the day thst no-kill shelters are all there is.
These beautiful creatures deserve better from us

She reminds me of my old dog, she was abused and used as basically a puppy mill by her old owners and they took her puppies away too soon so when we got her any stuffie she had shed lick them and suckle and nibble on them it was so cute

Sucking on the stuffie isn’t a cute little habit. It means she was take away from her mother way too early. It happens to both dog and cats that lose access to their mothers before they can be weaned. It’s very sad.

I wish our 2 were like that! They're destroyers. The faster you rip the stuffie open the better.
We had a lab/chow/pittie mix that was sweet like this with his toys. I miss him.

Coukd of been taken away from Mom too early or simply a coping mechanism From my experience with cats who suckle that's my opinion, dogs same same I'm sure

She is absolutely beautiful and what a good girl. She does indeed deserve a lifetime of stuffies. Not sure how old this video is but I hope she found her forever home.

From the observation of her constantly suckling on the chew toys, she was most likely pulled away before being weened too early. But those are just my thoughts.
