I love minions too, but it's a really bad idea to paint fire hydrants any colours other than the ones the inspector approves of, because those specific colours designate things like water pressure and information that the firefighters use to determine where to park their pumper trucks, if they are called to a fire emergency. The flowerbed potholes are cute, until they are run over by the vehicles. The other things are thoughtful, I think, and I hope they are able to remain for a while, to make people happy

I remember in the city one time seeing a sign that said End Construction as you were leaving a construction zone, and someone had written the words No and to so the sign now read No end to construction. It was hilarious, especially considering that in that area, there seemed to be an absolutely insatiable need to keep building more and more shopping centers.
