My grandfather had the best secret room. we had to crawl through the closet to the hole at the far end. It came out under the stairwell to the apartment 4-plex and was probably 20x20. We thought it was the best. (My grandfather built it into the empty space as a private storage area. I wonder if anyone found it after they moved out: )

My best friends grandmother has a big long hallway that's hidden behind a secret brick wall type door. She said it had a bunch of unlit torches all the way along it. Sounds creepy if you ask me.

My only issue with with secret rooms for kids is once they are older they could use it to hide things they arent supposed to have but i was a very bad and secretive kid
