You might have seen the Disney princess movie, but only a few of you have actually read the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. We have to tell you that there is no love story and no Prince Charming because we are only showing you the messed up origins of The Little Mermaid. Make sure you watch this video until the end to know if Ariel lives happily ever after. The beginning is really similar to what we saw in the Disney princess movie as Ariel was fascinated by the human world. As soon as she got old enough to go near the ships, she fell in love with a man and thought that he would be her Prince Charming. And unlike what we saw in the movie, she took much more time to get to know him before making the biggest decision of her life. If you watched The Little Mermaid, you know that Ariel exchanged her voice for a pair of legs. But in the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the deal that she made with the sea witch was more terrifying. The sorceress herself said that the young woman was dumb. But youll have to watch this video to know more about that crazy agreement. Stay tuned to hear more about the messed up origins of the little mermaid like how the young girl suffered from the deal with the sea witch, how the Prince called her, who he finally ended up with, and if she ever lived happily ever after. Which fairy tale story do you prefer? Dont be shy to answer in the comments section down below. We love to hear what you think!

What I think what's more darker in the original The Little Mermaid is a storm scene from the book. In the original story, the mermaid thought the storm was so much fun and amazing, she did pay attention to how the prince and sailors were in terrible danger.
Unlike the Disney(where Ariel saves and grab Prince Eric right away, In the original story, when the mermaid saw the prince was trying to keep his head above water, he began to sink and drowning, she was so happy and excited that he's in the water and she thought he's going to visit the sea kingdom, it took her few minutes to realize if he was underwater, the prince will die(because humans can't breathe underwater)
This is one of the reasons why the prince never recognizes or ever saw the mermaid as his savior because he's already fully unconscious when the mermaid got to him and it took her forever to realize he's in danger.

In Japan, for generations, the Japanese have taught their children the Hans Christian Andersen tale of The Little Mermaid with the sad ending, even after Disney came out with the 1989 animated musical feature with the and they lived happily ever after ending. Disney is popular in Japan. The 1989 Disney animated movie has been dubbed twice in Japanese (1989 and 1997, Ariel appears in the Kingdom Hearts video games series from Japan's Square Enix, which includes a lot of Disney characters, etc. But the Little Mermaid - known as Ningyo Hime (Mermaid Princess) in Japanese - sticks close to the Hans Christian Andersen version and remains a sad, lonely teenage girl suffering from unrequited love in Japanese entertainment (anime, manga, video games, music, etc)

I took a look at Hans Christian Andersons book of The Little Mermaid and it looked pretty sad that by the time I finished reading a sad story I would cry. Anderson seemed famous for writing fairy tales, but some would not be meant for children to read or even hear.

Didney is always here for us to ruine every existing fairytail.
The original (Andersen's) story is just one beautiful, thougthful, deep and tragic piece of art, which i known since i was a little kid, and i've never seen it as something disturbing and scary.

Who cares? Lighten up and roll with it. Stop dissecting everything. for nothing more than a chance to complain, incite and virtue signal. Just relax and enjoy.

I totally prefer the Disney version, plus the Disney version to me looks like Italy or Greece, or even somewhere in the Caribbean.

I don't think it's messed up. .it relates to all of us trying to figure out the next life. I like it more than the Disney version.
