1. The trace acts much different around adult wizards and so long as an underage wizard is near an adult wizard(or witch for either) the trace will not work.
2. Veritaserum is not very accurate. It often tells the story from the victims point of view and that is not always facts. Also the ministry is COMPLETELY screwed up. Sirius didn't even get a trial in the first place.
3. (I think, this is a guess)The house was technically still hidden by the Fidelis charm, so nobody could see the house. Pettigrew must have lifted it when he ran away or something. You kind of have to think about what was going on at the time, because Sirius did meet Hagrid when the latter went to find Harry. Meaning this was before Sirius found out that Peter was the rat.
4. Remember that this was a map made by tricksters. Also, the map names in the book was very very tiny, not in big writing

I think the trace is to make sure that a underage witch or wizard isn't using spells in front of muggles, especially those who don't know about the wizarding world. I think this rule/policy is really for half-bloods or muggle-borns that live around muggles. Making sure that they don't let muggles know about the wizarding world. Pure-bloods live in warded houses that make sure that no muggle will find out about it so the pure-blooded wizards and witches are able to learn and perform spells without being influenced by the trace. If an adult wizard/witch is around, however, the trace can't tell if Harry did it or Arthur. Like magical interference.

Maybe if a wizard is there without the trace then it wont be assigned to an underage wizard, they also would be the witness able to see if the underage was casting. Thus why the other times it didnt count but when Harry clearly cast it it did. This could also be why the trace doesnt work in magical homes, the parents would be expected to watch their children and muggle parents couldnt stop their kids so it seems to me the trace was only really designed for muggle born wizards and only really punish them

Anyone else just realize how wrong she was in every one of these statement or whatever she called them and just get so mad at how wrong she is and her pronunciation too I just cant even put it into words how insulting this is to me because she tries to bring these books and movies down with things that arent rue and things she would know werent true if she actually read or watched Harry Potter and if she did then she should have tried to understand it before making this. Id

The trace didnt work because the magic wasnt used by someone under 17, and they would have known an adult wizard was there in book 4 because of the flu powder network at the ministry since they tried to use flu powder to get to the Dursleys. And do you honestly believe that the ministry would do anything to dumbledor? Like seriously

Yes you miss something throughout the movies when I was watching Harry Potter bloopers the other day I noticed that in the earlier movies Harry's scar is on the right side a million and one of the other movies I don't know what you wanted was but his scar was like white and it was on the left side of his forehead?

The trace part is actually explained, its because the ministry couldnt trace Dobby and so assumed that it was Harry who cast it. While with Arthur and Dumbledore were at Harrys house, so there was more wizards that could cast those spells

Didnt we see that what we SEE of the wizarding world is limited? So why would we assume that small shopping block is the only place to get a job? What about. the rest of the world? Or more, the rest of the country?

Even young adults know you don't change points in time he's probably already watched back to the future and KNOWS you don't mess with time travel. Hermione CERTAINLY wouldn't.
