I think you forgot the most depressing finale of a kid friendly show Dinosaurs Changing Nature. The episode showed the Bunch Beetles were killed of by the We Say So company to build a wax fruit factory over their breeding grounds causing the cider poppies to over grow. So they spray herbicides to kill the poppies but it kills all plant life. Then they drop bombs into volcanoes to make them erupt to make clouds for rain to reverse their previous plan but that backfired and plunged the world into an ice age that lasts an eon and the dinosaurs freeze and starve to death. Just goes to show you never go messing with nature.
