I like it when there are love interest but I don't like how they can never take care of themselves. For example, Queen Anna. Queen Anna has proven to have the same or even more bravery, courage and independence as her sister Elsa. But Disney still showed her softer, more girly side. Anna is more than capable of taking care of herself but she still has a love interest.

So you say the Merida is unrecognizable? The only thing thats different is that she has bigger eyes, she isnt glamorized. And they changed all the Princess to a different animation style, all of they look different because that have to be right next to each other, they HAD to change something about everyone

Dolled up. and yet in the WIR2 scene when the princesses dress down into slumber party wear, most of them are in girly pajamas while Merida was wearing khaki shorts and a rolled up flannel shirt, slouched in her own chair. I say the writers and animators captured her personality perfectly.

What made me more furious than her looks (that didnt bug me in the least) it was more the fact that they made her sound nearly unintelligible to young children by giving her a much thicker Scottish accent as a joke and said shes 'from the other studio'
