Wait, how is a eagerness to please others vain? Also, how was it selfish to save his wife and child? I will agree that Kind Fredrick is far from the best person out there, but I'm sure many people, including myself, would do the same thing in his position. I don't think it's selfish to want to save those close to you. And I'm sure someone would have realized if the queen was faking her illness. I mean, I'm not sure if that was true, but Eugene said Corona had some of the best medical professionals in the world. She was truly sick and dying. By the way, King Frederick said he received military training as I'm sure any king would, not that he was in the military. And on the aging. aging is a bit of a slippery slope in Tangled. I mean, look at Adira, Hector, Quirin, and King Edmund in the 25 years ago flashbacks and the present. They all look the exact same. I don't see much different in King Fredrick's appearance either.

Fun fact: In Indonesia's Rapunzel's story, the father is only a commoner. One day, he doesn't have any food to eat so he stole the witch's cabbages, and bring back home. The witch knows about it and went to his home. She went to see him and mad at him for stealing. The father ask for her forgiveness, so the witch decided to forgive him in one condition: Once his daughter is born, he has to give her his baby.

Maybe they didnt have a child because 1. They were probably still mourning and 2. maybe since she almost died during her first pregnancy she just wasnt naturally equipped to have children and it wasnt because of some magic flower
