In summary, both Gaston and the Beast started out as bad people, but beast was given the chance to grow, and become better. Gaston never got that chance.
See, beast was given a chance to prove to Belle he could be selfless, by saving her from the wolves and though his interactions with her after that, he grew as a person from a brooding monster to a kind man. I think if Gaston had been given a similar chance, he might have matured as a person, seeing that there's more to Belle than her beauty, and growing to appreciate her for her keen intellect. A lot of Gaston's bad behaviors were reinforced by the villagers. Remember, the one time he wonders if there's something wrong with him and the way he tried to woo belle, everyone in the tavern plays the role of a yes-man, stoking his ego, and saying Nahhh, she's just crazy! On the other hand, Beast's servants encourage him to mind his temper, and be a gentleman to Belle, some good advice all around.
That's really the difference between Beast and Gaston in my eyes, Gaston was given bad advice, and never had the chance to mature, while beast did. If the situation was different, say. Gaston had been out hunting when Belle was attacked by wolves, and was badly wounded while rescuing her, and was nursed back to health by her in an abandoned cabin, bereft of his bad influences he might come to respect her more though her skills as a healer, while she might come to respect him for saving her.

I know but if belle divorced with prince adam/beast if belle married with gaston. and when prince find out this. he will be sad or prince adam going to kill gaston heres reasons why 1. gaston is selfish and he thinks belle love him back imagine a marrying to a selfish rude man who forces you to marry. 2. when belle attacked by wolfs gaston didn't save her. we know that prince adam is princess belle's soulmate/true love 3. the beast was in a magic stuck in witch/wizzard and beast thought belle will never like him. gaston don't even deserve princess belle but prince adam deserves her really cause prince is more kind and shy ever guy he/prince tried to make belle happy all the time he danced with belle for her

Belle should not go with the beast who changed his ways because he locked her and her father up. Instead she could go with this man who never tries to better himself for her. Yeah he locked her and her father up when they went to kill the beast, but still, come on, like, the French revelation. That real life point in history should be good for judging a work of fiction with not actual connections to actual history as an excuse on why a woman should choose this man over a monster who changes himself for the better.

Ah seems like you've looked at the movie but didn't see.
If you had seen instead of look, you'd know Gastons view of women is mostly as property.
Gaston would never have been faithful to Belle, so had she picked Gaston she would have gotten a cheating, narcissistic ego maniac.
It's not like Gaston even tries to hide all his flaws either. They're all out in the open.
Unlike Beast who certainly isn't a catch either so the question is had she been better of not marrying either of them?

All Belle did was read romance novels nothing, thats the same as men watching p0rn consistently it isn't healthy. Gaston realised this and told her to stop, she ended up so engrossed in these fairy tales she ended up falling in love with a animal. Dont forget she didn't even know the beast was a man. Completely filthy, all Belle wanted was control over others, Gaston was a strong man who couldn't be controlled. Whereas the beast was weak and was easily controlled by Belle.

They are basically saying that Gaston is better cause he is real and the Beast is not, but Hitler was real, but Captain America isnt, yet I would say Cap is a better person to marry cause he isnt a genocidal maniac.

Belle fell in love with a literal monster, if that isn't sickening I don't know what is. Gaston offered her a good life, but Belle chose an animal over the entire village. She literally caused the death of their hero. She molded the beasts character and thats why she stuck with him, whereas she couldn't change Gaston. It just shows what kind of person she is. A few years later the French revolution happened she was probably executed.

Gaston straight up welcomed himself into Belle's home, pretty much harassed her, and tried to have her thrown in an asylum just because she didn't reciprocate his feelings. He was rude, didn't care about Belle, and considering what he's like, most likely would've forced himself on her. Not to mention he's a grown man imagine having kids (meaning doing the deed) with a 17 year old.

Gaston is a provider for the village, a healthy strong man who was trying to save Belle not only from the beast but from herself. Sure hes a little arrogant but so is the beast, and he can change. Everyone loves Gaston for a reason. Personally, Im a neo-Gastonist, so Im glad to see the roots of the movement even before the epic Doyle video, and I hope we continue to grow.

I just watched Gigi and she very similar to belle even some references from the musical to beauty and the best. Gigi and having the guy Gaston who is a player is exactly the same. (Kinda disturbing but its the truth, Disney probably didnt want a 16 & 33 guy in a relationship so they modified it )
