Only True Fans Know The True Origin Story Of Hades The Complete Descendants Timeline Evie's Evolution From Descendants to Descendants 3 Whether or not you're familiar with Greek Mythology makes little difference, as chances are, you know a thing or two about the God of the Underworld; Hades. This terrifying villain has gained popularity over the years, and he has Disney to thank for that. Who could ever forget about Hercules' hilariously morbid rival, Hades? No one, that's who! Contrary to popular belief, Hades was never meant to be a villain. Sure, his job required him to make some very final decisions, but he did this to balance the worlds. Hades might get a bad reputation, but he's a Greek God at the end of the day. So, how bad can he really be? We'll be delving into his backstory to find out who the man beneath the flaming blue hair truly is. Is he as evil as they say? Or is he simply a misunderstood God who has been branded as a villain? Watch until the very end of this video to find out, and don't forget to subscribe to TheThings for more videos like this one. #Hades #Descendants3 #DisneyVillains

Actually the backstory is wrong. What actually happened was that Kronos (the ruler of the Titans) didn't trust his kids, he believed that they would overthrow him just like he overthrew his father. When his wife had his children, he swallowed them, one of them being Hades. However, Rhea (the wife of Kronos) tricked Kronos so he didn't swallow Zeus. When Zeus grew up, he tricked his father into barfing up his brothers and sisters. Zeus basically overthrew his father and became the ruler of the gods, Poseidon becoming god of the seas, and Hades being the Lord of the Underworld. That's when war between the Titans and the Gods began. That's the actual story (btw sorry if this offends anyone or you don't believe it, you can literally look it up and it'll say the same thing, again I'm sorry but I just had to point it out)

Disney probably didn't read much about greek mythology. I didn't like how they portrayed Hades, but in Descendants, he's kinda ok but the fact that Mal was his daughter, I have mixed emotions about that especially that I really love the love story of Hades and Persephone
But on the other hand, I think that this movie(Descendants) is really nice so please don't be angry with me

If you do your research you would know hades is not bad I read a lot books this subject and Zeus is worse than hades in my opinion Zeus always lies and hades cant do nothing because he made a promise to take care of him since Zeus is the youngest and hades is oldest hades is just quiet person just wanting to be left alone

Hades: Fair personality and rules, treats his wife like the queen she is, never cheated on her.
Disney: Anyways, that's why Hades is the most evil God of Greek Mythology.

Actually, Hades got Persephone to eat six pomegranate seeds so that she was tied to the underworld and would return for six months every year. One month for every seed she ate.
reply

Actually When Hades fell in love with Persephone he went to Zeus to ask how to get her to love him (this wasn't a good idea)
Zeus told Hades to kidnap Her

Posiedon can beat Zeus with mastery of his powers and hades can beat Zeus an Poseidon bc he has more powers an Has 2 weapons by his side an has a dog

At 0: 32 they say Pluto is what the Greeks used to call Hades, but that were the Romans. I mean has anyone read Percy Jackson?
reply

Ok. I love greek mythology. But when you realise that Persephone's father was Zeus, and she had a kid with him. just. no.
reply

Ok so, hades only screwed up two people live because they came to the underworld to kidnap and marry Persephone. so ya
