Chad is my favorite character from Descendants. Who I think is a very misunderstood and unjustly hated character. Seriously and stating my reasons, he really isn't that bad. He just wanted to protect his friends from villains. Although it is not necessary to judge by the origins, being Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos children of who they were because it was reasonable to distrust them. Also, he was right in what he told them. He said Mal stole another girl's boyfriend and if it's true, Mal stole Ben from Audrey. He said Jay enjoyed hurting and well. at least back then it was true if not what he made evident with all the guys he hit and knocked down when he tested for the team. And with Evie he said he only cared about money and cheating. I love Evie, I clarify, she is my favorite of the four villains and I admire her, but she several times mentioned that she came to Auradon with the purpose of marrying a prince to become queen. At least back then it was true. His intentions were not really bad, I tell you, he wanted to protect his friends, although I did not carry it out in the best way, but only that is nothing so serious that they consider him so terribly bad and hate him with all their soul. I know there is goodness in him and that deep down he is a good boy. Beneath that arrogant, shallow, conceited boy's facade is a boy as brave and kind as his mother. I know. Why couldn't Disney include the same with him as with the other antagonists in his productions like Sharpay from High School Musical or Chad from Sunny Among Stars? They were also superficial, conceited and arrogant boys but deep down determined a good heart. Why couldn't they do the same to Chad and make him so terribly wrong? It is not exactly fair. They hate him and say he's an idiot for the attitude he had in the movie, but you know, those toxic Descenders who insult him are worse than him.

Take noticed Chad didn't want Lonnie on the team and his parents are Cinderella and other person so here's a theory, he must have been taught that girls can't do things that are only meant for boys so that's might be where he became kinda like that and how almost in every disney princess story the boy is the one who saved the girl it was never the other way so he just thought that's how it was always like.
Also how Cinderella was raised was bad so she must have decided to raise him with everything he wanted and he soon become a kinda a brat also how Cinderella was used Chad was navie to realise that Andrey was just using him.

If I had to profile Chad my guess is the reason why he turned out to be such a brat is because his mum Cinderella had a pretty tough life growing up. It could be that Cindy having experienced a hard upbringing didn't want her own kids to be put through such hardships in life and so she made sure Chad would not have want for anything. Basically she and Prince Charming raised Chad in a way that made him have everything handed to him but in doing so they inadvertently turned their son into a egotistical dandy who looked down on everyone that wasn't born as privileged as himself.

In some way Chad did help to save Auradon from the evilly corrupted Audrey. Chad played his part he served his purpose. Though he helped to save Auradon that didn't necessarily made him a hero. According to Zeus father of Hercules that being loyal Is not the same as being a true hero. then Zeus said as a hint hint look inside your heart. Which explains why Chad didn't have the backbone stomach, guts and bravery. In order to stand up to Audrey Chad had to find the loyalty and strengths. The strengths in his own heart in order to stand up to Audrey.

Chad is such a funny character and cute i wonder how he changed alot before in descendants he looked like a character that would be cleaver and really charming but then turned funny he is still charming tho. Aww I miss cameron so much would have been so much better if he was alive and there was descendants 4, 5, 6. just love it.

actually carlos /did/ forget jane's birthday, so chad wasn't wrong. honestly, the way chad clings to audrey makes me think his home life probably wasn't healthy; it really suggests cycles of abuse. in my opinion, he's putting on the front of an annoying jerk to make sure that people don't take advantage of him.

Chad maybe a gentleman of a young handsome prince like his father but. But Chad charming Junior is two-faced just like Audrey was. But the thing is Chad charming Junior didn't really bring out his badder side as much as Audrey did. Chad was more of a punk

I really wanted to see queen ella (cinderella)slap him she is after all technically a VK after all she was raised from the age of 5 by lady trymaine. Other vks in Auridon include snow white, repunzel and in Disney's live action so is Aurora.

I honestly wish Chad got more development. It would have been great to see him go from antagonist in the first movie, neutral in the second, and full on hero in the third.
He was never a villain for me, just an antagonist.
