Pocahontas, Merida and Mulan experienced different types of isolation too. Mulan felt she disappointed her parents because of the matchmaker disaster and being publicly dishonored twice. Not to mention she had to be very careful about no one finding out her secret, and even after Shang spared her life no one believed her until Shuan Yu attacked the palace. Merida felt her parents didnt care about how she felt or being her true self all because shes a tomboy instead of a proper lady. Pocahontas was caught in an arranged marriage to someone she knew shed never be truly happy with because their personalities were too different, he was stern, stoic and serious so maybe just didnt know how to show his love for her, while shes whimsical, playful, curious, free spirited and was willing to stand alone fighting for what she believed in. She wanted so much more than being stuck as a simple housewife and mother, she literally wanted excitement and adventures, that is precisely why she fell in love with John Smith because he was the complete opposite of her in nearly every way except they had the same personalities and he completely embraced her as a free spirit, willing to even give up his career just to be with her forever. Plus she literally loved to run off on her own and struggled to find her path, especially when her father didnt really listen or consider/care about marrying Kocuom, trying to convince her he was the perfect man for her when even Grandmother Willow agreed Kocuom wasnt the best fit for her. Not to mention after hes arrested for murdering Kocuom she was publicly shamed by her father in front of their entire tribe, and even after If I Never Knew You felt powerless to stop his execution or the war, but through his compass he unknowingly helped convince her to do the right thing by refusing to let him die and share his fate if her father refused to back down. Not to mention in the end she ended up prioritizing her duties as a princess over her feelings for him, as badly as she wanted to go with him to his world her tribe needed her more than ever as a middleman and other responsibilities. Its a very sad and heartbreaking ending as when she said she couldnt go with him and even asked him to leave without her, using his own words to checkmate him to show this is what she knows this is the right thing. As badly as she wanted to be with him she wanted him to live more, and hed unfortunately eventually die from his wound. But the moment he heard her decision (before saying he wasnt leaving her) they both knew theyd probably never see each other ever again, and that is precisely what makes this ending that much sadder is there was no guarantee hed survive even if he made it back, so in a way she was putting their love in fates hands, if they were truly meant to be then maybe one day fate would bring them back together. Also considering If I Never Knew You just makes the ending sting even more, that theyd rather be separated forever but their love will burn on no matter what, than live their entire lives never meeting each other.

Technically, Mulan, Merida and Pocahontas were also isolated in their own ways. Mulan was isolated by the way women were supposed to be in society. Merida was isolated because she was being pressured constantly to be this perfect maiden when she wasnt. Pocahontas was isolated by the path her father wanted her to follow.

Merida was trapped in her room when her father went after her mom, it doesn't sound like isolated, but it's actually called trapped and pocahantus, she wasn't exactly trapped, but she was forced to marry cocom.
