Cutest Cast Moments, Pranks & How the movie was made! Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban Looks Like The Funnest Movie Behind The Scenes. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a fan favorite movie and its also a cast favorite. There was tons of fun to be had behind the scenes, from childhood crushes including those between castmates to unbreakable bonds developing between actors. Daniel Radcliffe admired Gary Oldman so much that he credits him for some of his best Harry Potter performances, while Michael Gambon and Alan Rickman used their opportunity as professors to play a hilarious prank on Daniel that was caught on film. Director Alfonso Cuarn also gave the young cast more opportunities to improvise. Emma Watson and Tom Felton even ended up improvising the scene where Hermione punches Draco. The movie was also an opportunity to be creative with special effects, like having Emma ride a fake Whomping Willow branch around a stage and creating a real Knight Bus to drive around London plus you wont believe how lifelike the animatronic Buckbeak is. Even the Shrieking Shack was a real set made to look like it was swaying, and Lupins transformation into a werewolf was done using prosthetics, makeup and some movie magic. And of course we gotta talk about the young stars' experience as child actors from Rupert Grint never watching the entire series to Emma almost quitting when she was 16. But despite some difficulties, everyone had an amazing time filming and bringing characters like Sirius Black and the Dementors to life, and you can check out this video to see exactly how it went down. this harry potter film definitely changed the tone, plot, theme and the style of film making! I mean, the director, alfonso cuaron made the film a bit more seriously darker than the previous first and second film - there is quite a lot of extended long shots on characters, settings and everything in most sequences per scene; frightful creatures such as Dementors, werewolves and boggarts! and we get to see new characters introduced later in the film. for example: Sirius Black (the escaped prisoner from Azkaban) is truly one of the most beloved characters in the harry potter film series; he then became harry's godfather! and a new DADA (Defence Against the Dark Arts) teacher who was firstly appeared in the hogwarts express train, where he conjures a Patronus to defeat the Dementor! and Remus (the roman name for the mother's wolf) Lupin (latin term for wolf) was now very kind, caring and considerate with harry and claims the discussion about his mad past. I think that Lupin is one of the best DADA professors at Hogwarts! then later, he then teaches Harry one of the most challenging and powerful spells beyond the ordinary wizarding level - the Patronus charm! this charm is extremely difficult and not many witches or wizards can conjure one. but in order to conjure it, he must concentrate on his very happy and powerful memory; and yelling the incantation, Expecto Patronum!
and remember this? this is the only effective repelling spell against the evil Dementors! and LATER. he then conjured a huge Patronus to save Sirius Black from the Dementors, by using the time turner!
and let's not forget the Marauder's Map! the nicknames in the map are literally foreshadowing there identity. for example: 'Mooney' is for Remus Lupin - full moon arrives; he transformed into a werewolf!
'Wormtail' - is PETER PETTIGREW - for transforming into a rat;
'Padfoot' - is Sirius Black - he transformed into a black dog; and 'Prongs' - is james potter - who transformed into a stag (harry's Patronus) and together, they are animagi (apart from Lupin - he's a werewolf!
and this film actually never ends at all! this film morally shows a theme of love, bravery, family and friendship to the entire film, and it makes sense that the viewers find it very captivating and meaningful! No doubt about that! it's definitely one of my favourite harry potter films of all time - and I can never stop watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!
and do you remember this?
Shakespeare's Macbeth is
everything similar to the
Prisoner of Azkaban!

Actually that scene where harry casts Lumos Maxima to read that book well the reason why he didn't get a howler is because the Dursleys wouldn't let harry study but he still did at night and if you are doing homework all underage wizardry restrictions are dropped and new restrictions are put in place the underage wizardry restrictions of no casting of any spell for any reason except self defense are dropped and here's the Study Restriction: spells that are illegal out of the Underage Wizardry Act are to be forbidden beyond oral (Oral is the scientific name for Noise committed by speech) reference, all easy spells (Lumos, Nox, Lumos Maxima, Lumos Maximus, Protego, Protego Maxima, Protego Maximus, and Episky) may be casted with no reason at all (if the Ministry does not follow up on the recent homework formula of Hogwarts and they don't know that spell casting was apart of it and you are falsely accused you have the right to sue the Ministry and while your trial before you sue them you may say: You have no authority over me and the reason of me being here is wrongful as you have failed to keep up with the teachings of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry so you shall let me go free of charges)
so harry was legally allowed to cast that spell

The Clock tower that was added in the 3rd film (and used for the remaining Harry Potter films) actually reminds me of the Time Dragon Clock from WICKED!
