The Bad Guys Behind The Scenes Vs. The Real Scene

The Bad Guys is breaking barriers with its animation style. So it's no surprise that the concept art and choreography and all that behind the scenes stuff is just so fascinating to look at. The original book for The Bad Guys by Aaron Blabey inspired the director, Pierre Perifel to want to make a Tarantino movie for kids. He blended that with his 2D animation french experience and voila we have something new and exciting! The concept art for some of the characters is just downright goofy or creepy. Webs ended up adorable and she at one point was going to be blue but at other points, she was going to haunt your nightmares. Wolf went through more than a dozen wardrobe malfunctions before they landed on that perfect style. Some characters were turned human, some changed gender, and some changed names. Professor Marmalade, played by Richard Ayoade, had the weirdest name change you've ever heard. The actors were breaking all sorts of legs in the voice booth. Not Web's legs. George Clooney was a contender for the role of Wolf but the director really wanted to keep away from the expected. Instead, he brought in Sam Rockwell. Mr. Piranha, played by Anthony Ramos, is another one that had some creepy concept art. Fish heads on human bodies. It looked a bit like a reverse mermaid. The beautiful landscapes of L. A. took a lot of inspiration from other action movies. The design required a lot of simplifying, which, nowadays its easier to add detail than to take it away

turning red was way too dramatic and really could have been avoided with some self control or just general common sense
apart from that miles morales, michelles, and the bad guys had both great mix of action, drama, and massive character development, on top of that the cartoonish animation style is both really cool/simple and takes a bit less time than hyper realistic animation
I feel like the style is enjoyable, because you can clearly see the art and effort put into the movie (especially since the realistic 3D animation looks more corny than cool) and you also (depending on the story) get an awesome story on top of it

I love The Bad Guys and it's nice to have a new ship that we can see act like a couple in the sequel now that they have shown that they like each other in the first movie. And yes I am talking about Mr Wolf and Diane because we know we're getting a sequel so hopefully Mr Wolf and Diane's relationship can move forward now that they are closer.

I think he's just as cute in the books, but I LOVE him in the movie. Everyone went crazy for that wolf, let's face it. EVERYONE loves mr wolf! No one really paid much attention to the other characters, I mean, Diane was pretty iconic but EVERYONE LOVES A WOLF!
