My favorite offbeat X-Men story is from issue 153 where Kitty tells a young Illayna Rasputin a bedtime story using the X-Men as models for the main characgters. I particularly liked the exchanges between the team members as they listened outside the door. especially between Nightcrawler and Wolverine. This should definitely be included in the next iteration of this series of videos (and I KNOW there will be more. because there are a lot of weird X-Men stories. like the one from X-Men annual 7 with the Impossible man.

Longshot first appeared in the first Longshot limited series from 1985, written by Ann Nocenti. The X-Men annual brought him into the X-Men. They even tweaked the meaning of -mutant- to justify his presence on the team since he is extra-dimensional, and not a human mutant.

Is nobody going to mention that two items on the list are the same? I think it's number 6 and number 3 but they went to the X-Babies well twice. I even listened to the descriptions twice to double check. X-Men Annual #10, First Appearance of Longshot (which I know people keep saying isn't true but to be fair, even Longshot didn't remember his solo series, etc.

Taylor McWatters---The Wizard of Oz wasn't quite low budget. And the woman you were talking about was Judy Garland. And that movie is a classic. They show it once or twice a year. I should know I saw it.

Its not a weird story, more or less, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story, Demon, where Kitty fights a demon in issue 143 of Uncanny X-Men.
