i would say that thor's weakness isn't insecurity, although it is still there, a very strong, prominent trait thor has is a very strong thirst for vengeance that can cloud his reasoning and logic, and when he fails to use those two important factors of his mentality and lets his anger fuel him, like he did in infinity war and ended up failing, he then falls into that insecure, depressed state he was in during the events of endgame. he lets his arrogance and rage fuel him and fails to see the importance of the battles he fights. earlier in the MCU, when thor was being introduced in his stand-alone movie, it was depicted that he was arrogant and cocky and not at all logical. thats why odin put that curse on thors hammer. so only those worthy could wield it. odin was teaching thor some manners and important personality traits and skills. thor had to prove himself worthy by abandoning his jock-like personality and finding some reasoning and well mannered traits. this isnt really an example of his thirst for vengeance, but it shows thor needed to learn something, and in infinity war and endgame, he lost his good, more reasonable side, and went back to his primitive form showed in the early years of the MCU.

most of us have seen the Avengers Assemble animated series when Falcon was in shield he made a contingency plan of them if they were mind controlled and turned on them and they are

Thor: norn rune stone attached to hammer going through portal more than once to fight surtur
Black Widow: code word sonbuca hypnotic trance
Hulk: neuro agent to make him fall asleep
Hawkeye: booby trapped arrow
Captain America: Sonic resonator which Nighthawk used on his shield and throws it at falcon and would swallow cap into a bubble that would resonate with the vibranium in his shield

After throwing the hammer at a foe something prevented it from returning, endangering his secret identity. Iron Man threw a cloak over him, hiding his mortal identity as he turned back to Dr Don Blake.

Thumbs down. Hank Pym did not beat Janet. The illustrators screwed up. The way the writers wanted it, it was supposed to be an accident while he was basically making angry hand gestures. Come on now Kelly everybody but a noob knows that. An honestly, im not saying its right because its not but a backhand is not a beating. No need to exaggerate.

The primary difference between Marvel and DC is that Marvel-s heroes are like ordinary people but with powers while DC is the opposite - mostly god like beings trying to be human. Honestly if people started having super powers, Marvel-s heroes/villains provide a substantial reason to be afraid of meta humans.
