The best thing about Monica Rambeau is that she never needed to trade on her race. Her race was always a non-issue, and while her gender was more of an issue for her, she did not harp on that, or even mention it beyond her origin story. No, she made herself special by her DEEDS, not any accident of birth. Before she was Avengers Chairman, while Wasp was still wobblingly trying to lead, the Avengers fought an all-powerful being called the Beyonder, who easily scattered them and captured the Wasp, leaving the team a trio of Captain marvel (the rookie, Hercules and Namor the Submariner (two of the biggest egos and hardest heads in Marveldom, and constantly at each other's throats. She got them to stop fighting amongst themselves, straighten up and fly right with a few well-chosen words, and even playing on their egos just a bit. Captain America would have been hard-pressed to do as well, and she was still -in training-! Wasp always whined that she couldn't control Hercules because he would not accept the leadership of a woman-- but he listened to Monica, who is every bit as much of a woman as Jan, she just doesn't sleep around as much.

speaking of wandavision, i cant wait for the time when jimmy woo hopefully finally forms the new agents of Atlas in the MCU. Might be far sooner than we know, but id love to see it

I-m with you, supportive parents (or other family/friends) are the best. They never fail to make me tear up in joy. My niece recently showed me the Pixar short Out, I loved it.
