Actually (lifts nerdy index finger, Janet was chair of the Avengers when I first started collecting. She was the chair for longer than anyone else had been at that point. They weren't able to hold scheduled elections due to half the team going to fight in the original Secret Wars. Then when they returned was the first time Vision lost his mind, usurped leadership, and then when they had to take him down, she was made chair again. She is the one who named The Avengers. She deduced Hank's mental illness and posing as Yellowjacket before anyone else, and until the turn of the century, she was in a new uniform almost every issue. I thought the animated Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes did an amazing job with her portrayal. They showed her as being super competent and ALWAYS underestimated. She took down Ultron when they first met/dealt with him in that show.

I know Reed Richards's 1610 Counterpart known as The Maker is still lurking in the Main 616 Universe and is planning to revive his Universe with the Ultimate Venom symbiote. It would be Interesting and Shocking to see him somehow Resurrect the Heroes from 1610 and manipulate them to fight against the heroes of 616. For example: He brings back The Ultimates and manipulates them by telling them that the Avengers were responsible for the destruction of their World of 1610. He would do the same thing to the Ultimate X-Men and force them to lay siege on Krakowa forcing the 616 X-Men to fight against The Ultimate X-Men.

IIRC, Jean's medical skills were specifically stated to be the result of her mentally tapping into a surgeon in Seattle, not skills she developed on her own.
