Starfire (not animated TV versions) being scantily clad was practical for her and she thought people reacting to her exposure was just silly. Her power source, like Superman, is the sun. They work when she's fully clothed, but a little better when she is not.

I actually like Nightwings' original look. More Heroic. At least it had a design. His newer looks either have have him with just a blue line/bird across his chest and the rest of him is all black. Not very creative.

Actually he mans outfit is pretty practical as armour would be too restrictive to jump around in, and just a shirt and pants would get caught on stuff, and get stuck in wounds causing infections.
