Brother, Thanos could definitely wield mijolnir without the gauntlet. You said that it deems it-s worthiness based on selflessness, but thanos is probably the most selfless being. He is restoring balance so others don-t have to go through the pain he went through of losing his entire species. Due to overpopulation his species was wiped out and leaving him the soul surviver and making him want to save others. Sure he does it in a gruesome way but he was born with a disfigurement making him that way. You also said that the other guy wielded mijolnir because he believed he was in the right, protecting his people, but thanos also believes he is in the right, saving the universe.

Thanos' character was changed for the MCU giving him a different motive versus the comics. The smiling Thanos that you referred to was in the comcs. In the MCU didn't Thanos give up what he loved the most? Did you describe him as selfish? Do you mean that living on a farm is selfish? He also destroyed the stones saying that they were just a temptation. I feel that your logic is all over the place and inconsistent in this video.

1. In the comics. Yes
2. In the movies. No
this is because in the comics, the hammer works differently, if someone unworthy tries to hold it, it gains weight. this is why hulk could carry it
but in the movies, unworthy people just cant carry it.

So thanks can lift the hammer and anyone else can lift it when in his presence. The comics don-t explain who put the enchantment on thanos only that his enchantment is more powerful than thanos- enchantment.

Technically yes if thanos has the stones he can change the reality of how the mjolnir works he can make the hammer not need a worthy person to hold it or make himself only able to hold it

vision could lift mjolnir not because he was giving it to thor but because he isn't technically alive. hes an andriod. other andriods have lifted it in the comics too
