His character is a proof that he found strength to try to start over. Something that Steve Rogers. Captain America himself tried to do but couldn't.
Steve, man who was raised in times when being gay meant being treated like mentally ill person, was looking at someone stronger than him. Joe Russo's character was psychically stronger than most of the Avengers, because he tried to move on after -the snap-.
Steve Rogers was looking at this -first gay in MCU- and thinking -he's better than me, he's stronger than me. he tried to move on when I can't-. And I love the fact that Joe Russo is having thos cute cameos in MCU.
And that backlash is just a proof that people don't care about good writing and lgbt character. They only care about representation just for sake of representation which means truly nothing when poorly written.

I think the vast majority of movie-goers would not have been familiar enough with Mar-Vell to know that his earth alias was Walter Lawson if they even knew about Mar-Vell in the first place - even if they were hardcore MCU/Marvel fans. Carol Danvers has been the more popular character since she was Ms. Marvel, so I think they figured they had an opportunity for a big twist when Annette Benning is revealed as Mar-Vell.

Mar-vel was changed into a woman, because Sue DeConnick, the writer of the current version of Captain Marvel didn't like the idea that a woman got her powers from a man. It comes off like Mansplaining in a way. So Marvel changed it for female fans to see that Carol earned her powers through her own efforts. Not by some man saving her. I wonder if She Hulk will get her powers from Bruce in the MCU?

You forgot to mention the MCU making the Ancient one a Celtic woman rather than a Tibetan Monk just so they could release the film to the Chinese box office to make money - once again another retcon done without any tact and refusal to make a political statement just to make money

I kind of liked the new warriors for 2020 as they have potential so I created characters based on them, who happen to be pureblood vampires (4 of them, 1 of them is a shinigami and in my story vampires and shinigamis are from same family tree)

honestly I loved the Iceman coming out, I really enjoyed how they did it, and actually identified and was able to see myself in that character. I wish I could express better how meaningful it was for me.

When Modaak was created and published in Spider Gwen, Trump was still only a candidate. I don't really like him either, but that is probably why Marvel had an issue with The Orange Skull.
