I didn't recognize the reference when I first encountered Blue Boy in Fables since I didn't consider nursery rhymes or poems in general for that matter to be Fables and also because his poem is completely irrelevant to his adventures in this, I mean his poem's more in line with Jack and the boy who cried wolf's stories as a young hayward to lazy to do his job where as he goes through a whole epic adventure of heroism in Fables. That is until I saw his adaptation in Zenoscope Grimm Fairy Tales and that ruined my childhood cause the adaptation was featured together with so many of my nursery favorites from Jack and Jill to Peter Pumpkin Eater but they were all twisted into the most horrid tales. I still don't get the Bosley and Mary reference in that as I don't get the heroic journey in this.

The first time I saw Dee while skimming through Rat Queens I immediately thought 'is this supposed to be about a team of goddesses? ' since she reminded me so much of Kali with her skull necklace and clothing style and dark skin then tried reading it and was disappointed. Still haven't picked it up because I keep remembering the disappointment I felt that Dee wasn't the avatar of Goddess Kali her design so fits.

At first I looked at Luci with the tinted specs of a Vertigo Lucifer rip-off and was set in the idea as many of the first stories painted the same picture for me as Lucifer but when I went over them again I started see cracks in those specs and while I may not be up to date with the latest on her story line in the Divine + the Wicked I must say she's a whole other world of awesome.

Honestly I don't consider the first two as Superheroes really they're more like the Nick Fury or Amanda Waller or Phantom Stranger or Silver Surfer of their world. Always knowing when shit's about to go down and setting out to form the Teams but then taking a backseat when it actually goes down.

Read Punk Mambo once felt like a cross between John Constantine and Typhoid Mary with their best parts; awesome since I love those two but a lot about Punk Mambo's unique features allow you to love her a lot more.

Should Snow really count? she's more of an overall manager and political leader of all the fables, that's now retired but still winds up in the role from time to time.

Kelly Paoli---You looked most lovely as usual. Also you hosted one great video. Glad your will to talk about stuff outside of Marvel n DC. Please keep that up.

Reading Fables, the dark adversary is implied to be Sauron from the Lord of the Rings, just little details that point to it being him
