Rip akira Toriyama thank you so much for creating our childhood. I remember when Dragon Quest 8 came out I saw your name in the credits and your character and monsters designs were pretty amazing and I was blown away by it. I’ve played Dragon Quest and I knew when I saw your name, I was very happy to see it. Thank you so much for, making our childhood awesome and I am thankful that you were around the day when Dragon Quest Composer koichi Sugiyama. Died I was really sad when I heard about his death in 2022 both of them move forever be gone, but not forgotten. I was so lucky that I met Mr. Sugiyama, but Akira Toyama’s Legacy of Dragon, Ball, and Dragon Quest live on

I grew up with dragon ball since I was I would say 5 and I’m 23 now! I wish I grew up with the original dragon ball as a kid but I been enjoying it for awhile and I would say the filler episodes of Dragon ball are definitely my favorites for sure! The Hasky episodes, Sky Dragon, demon land, the green fox episode, and even the episodes with goku going through time and places for his 3 year training were absolutely brilliant and perfect! It would have been awesome to see more of those characters and sequels to some of those episodes!

Considering Chrono Trigger is widely what I consider the greatest game of all time with only one game that ties but other times it still consistently wins out in the end. I would call the art of Chrono Trigger the best thing he worked on even if his involvement was just for art and minimal otherwise. But Dragon Ball will forever truly be his most iconic franchise.
But Dragon Boy is another short lived manga that at least deserves an honorable mention.
But either way, RIP Akira Toriyama (1955-2024)

Its not often that someone is massively influential across multiple industries. Toriyama is a legend in anime/manga but his work in video games is also very influential. Do we have Pokemon or Persona without Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger I doubt it. Not in the same form we have them now, at least.
And, if that weren't enough l, his work across both industries gained international success. The anime industry as a whole has Dragon Ball to thank for popularizing anime in the west

To all the earthlings, saiyans, namekians, fusions, frezia force, cells, majins, androids, core person, angels, demons, gods, etc. Even through we can’t ask Shenron or the super Dragonballs to restore Akira but we can raise our spirit bombs to thank him for everything he has done and let his spirit lives on to inspire others. Ride freely on Nimbus to planet heaven with king Kai and kamehameha!

Ever since his death I've been feeling down. Not just because of the death of such an influential childhood figure, but because I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that I'm not that young child anymore. The days are long, but the years are short. Now I'll watch my son grow as his resemblance to myself as a child fills me with nostalgia of the days full of bliss.

Not just our childhoods, this man is shaping many of our adulthoods as well. Always striving to do better, facing problems with all our might, training our body, healthy masculinity and a good mentality. Vegeta's pride and loyalty, Goku's morality and character, Gohan's gentleness, they all shaped me into what I am today.

Kudos for adding Tobal No. 1! Was my first PSone game I actually was not scared of playing because of the familiar looking Charakters I knew from Dragon Ball. I wish they'd release a remaster of 12 since the second one was never released outside of Japan.

When some random Anime Creator change several generations for good. Dragon Ball its not only an Anime, it taught us morals and friendship, social behavior, and personal strength. All good things come to an End but this Godpiece will stay forever.

Hope with Toriyama’s passing that people who’ve never watched/read DragonBall go back and actually appreciate his work for the quality & depth it has beyond power levels & ki blasts. It’s beloved for good reason

Akria Toriyama created something incredible when he brought the Dragon Ball franchise into existence, and we should be thankful he can rest in peace knowing new Shonen manga artists will continue his legacy.

I remember first seeing dragon quest and dragon warrior a retitle at different stores. I knew it was somehow a toriyama creation. And was excited after picking up the games on both 3ds and modern consoles.

Please change the narrator! It is ruining Mojo. He does not even pronounce Toriyama’s name correctly. Akira Toriyama was one in a billion, hero to many generations. May he rest in peace. Thanks Toriyama.
