In my opinion you missed three. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner The final soliloquy by Spencer Tracy was phenomenal. Your second miss was, To Sir, With Love. The second to last scene where the students give tribute to Sir with a ballot sung by the singer Lulu and then him tearing up his job offer to be an engineer was heartwarming. Your last miss was last seen in the film An Officer And A Gentleman. The very last scene where Zach comes into Paula’s factory to pick her up and carry her out as Joe Cocker sings Up Where We Belong.

The African queen - when it seems like our two main leads are about to be executed by Nazis. Their homemade torpedoes hit the vessel, supposedly blowing everybody up. Our two main leads are swimming in the ocean and figure out that their boat the African Queen came to the rescue and they sing a song and swim off together married and happily surviving the endeavor. If you haven’t seen this film really it’s a very underrated classic starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn.

I have 4 more. In the Empire Strikes Back Lando and Chewie fly into a nebula while Luke and Leia look on. A League of Their Own the women play one final game as Madonna sings in the background. In Anna and the King the Prince does a monologue while his father and Anna dance l. Finally Jurassic World ends just like Jurassic Park but instead of Pelicans it is Pterodactyls flying into the sunset.

Among my favorites: The Manchurian Candidate (1962) from director John Frankenheimer. Having killed his evil mother and step-father, we think POW veteran turned brain-washed assassin Raymond Shaw has finally found redemption. But he's terrified he hasn't. He instead commits suicide, stunning hero Frank Sinatra and the audience. The 2004 remake doesn't even rate as a shadow.

The way Andy outsmarted the warden and escaped while exposing the corruption of the prison
And Red’s truthful and just speech about rehabilitation
All lead to the two friends’ eventual reunion in the outside world

Excellent List, so glad Eternal Sunshine included here. Shawshank is one of the biggest heartwarming ends of all time. Most people, by now, have heard it was a box office and critical flop when released. Now its one of the most beloved films of all time. Fight Club end was fantastic and the choice of song was pure perfection

The final scene from the film, The Quiet Earth(1985. Zac Hobson awakens on a beach somewhere. He’s confused. You hear the sound of the waves on the shore. He looks over the water, towards the horizon. You see it. He sees it. The orchestral music comes up. The final scene shows the wonder and shock on his face.

I like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but that end scene always disturbed me with Chief's murder of Murphy (Jack Nicholson's character. I prefer the protagonist's escape from tyranny literally into the bright sun (representing coming into the light of liberty from the darkness) in THX 1138.
