Street Fighter does need a remake, and He-Man needs the remake too and yes I did watch both of those movies, the Live Action Movie of He-Man had a good story just it needs to stay on its own planet. Green Lantern was good story-wise but the CGI Suits needs to be removed, only good thing was watching the Rat-rod come into view which was awesome to see though the rest of the movie, really didn't need the CGI Animated suits for a reason, it's how Batman can draw in the money because his suits aren't Animated, nor is Superman suits either, though that plastic throw S in one movie to gimmicky. With the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, you have to remember that what Mr. Lucus brought us with Episodes IV, V, & VI were done without CGI, and also fans wanted a back story on Darth Vader on screen at the time as we didn't know much about Darth Vader and how he turn to the dark side of the force, though Jar-Jar Binks we can do without, oh wait, we got Darth Jar-Jar in the LEGO thing that is coming out. I loved the movie Sphere, it was a mind mess movie that hit the right notes, and no a remake shouldn't go ahead unless they can do one better than the original. Eragon, the books were better, but the movie was not so much, and yes I'm throwing the Video Game under the bus too because it SUCKED. Catwoman really needs a remake. The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen should get a remake, though a few things would need to be a few things from the comics to make it better. Ghost Rider does need a remake, though filmed in Melbourne, Australia it looked so good but yes it needs a remake, and no Keanu Reeves is needed but Tom Holland on the other hand might work. Spawn I enjoyed, though if the remake isn't as good as the original it's going to make a lot of fans demand that the remake gets a re-remake with a better lead in Spawn, there is a lot that could be done if they follow the original Spawn movie and clean up the CGI and such you could say it would be a great way. As for another movie that deserves a remake, how about Wolfen from 1981

sigh Watchmojo, we need to sit down and talk.
You have to have reality, the prequel trilogy can never be remade because regardless of how you feel about them they already an integrated part of the Star Wars lore, especially in the Expanded Universe like video games, series like Ahoska, The Mandelorian, Rebels and especially The Clone Wars. Not to mention everyone as universally accepted it as Star Wars canon. Not helping is that there’s more fan appreciation for the prequels since the release of the sequels.
If anything, you probably should have put the sequel trilogy on your list instead as that would’ve gotten more positive reaction than the backlash you’re probably going to receive from putting the prequel trilogy on your list.

Cage opened up about his biggest problem with the 2007 Marvel film. He said: Had Ghost Rider been made in R-rated format, the way they had the guts to do with Deadpool, and they did it again today, I’m fairly certain it would be enormously successful.
Cage added: The problem is, it’s very hard to take a family of children to a movie and they made it a PG-13 movie about a superhero who, oh, by the way, also happens to have sold his soul to Satan. [Not the] most commercial concept or vehicle. But it certainly is the most interesting, and the most thought-provoking. I think if you look back on the movies today, they age well.

Just like mojo to put one of the best comic book adaptations on the cover of worst. Probably got madame Web on the screenshot of best movies that didn't win Oscars and Velma as best new comedy series on the internet. Seriously put the crack pipe down mojo. For God sakes they put Stargate on everyother entry on one of their greatest I know I'm dead look in horror movies of all time list. It's sci Fi action! Not even the same genres!
Edit! Oh snap they replaced spawn with a screen shot of green lantern after this comment! What a bunch of turds! Definitely would never have clicked a green lantern screen shot for anything

What's the point of remaking Silent Hill, Max Payne, Street Fighter and the Star Wars prequel trilogy Because video game adaptations are better on the small screen rather than the big screen and the cartoons Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels had already proved what the prequels were meant to be. Also, The Golden Compass shouldn't be on this list because the BBC/HBO adaptation had already got His Dark Materials right for goodness sake! That's not all, if Green Lantern is going to get a second chance on the big screen, why not have John Stewart instead of Hal Jordan

would say just watch the animated movie for a way better street fighter movie/great video game adaptation & assassins fist for live action as for as much as i find it an enjoyably solid 90's action film it's a terrible street fighter movie that just should be left alone to do a new movie of(rather for street fighter see a sequel to the animated movie/remake of it's anime parallel 2v including the later games though am interested in that planned legendary film)as we really don't need anymore remakes.

silent hill was good, spawn 97 was good, perhaps a reboot like usual, you can't really tell a fake story along with the pearl harbor tragedy any better, hell, today the democrats would root for the Japanese. Jonah Hex could use one. Stay away from 87 masters of the universe, they have already remade it and it sucked. Cage ghost rider was good, the sequel did suck though. Agreed with the golden compass though, it did go far from the source material. The rest should have never been made.

Actually The Golden Compass already has a remake or should i say, readaptation of the book into a television form produced by HBO and BBC titled His Dark Materials, all three novels including The Golden Compass for thr first season were adapted into one incredible television series that's really underrated in my opinion. If anyone hasn't seen it, i highly recommend you check it out. The theme song for the intro alone is enough to get you interested, i absolutely love the soundtrack

I would agree with The Lone Ranger and The Green Hornet reboot. I’m a big fan of both the radio series, plus Clayton Moore as TLR. Disney flopped on this version very badly.
If I were to choose a different movie, I’d have to say MARVEL’s Secret Invasion. I realize it was a tv series, but it could really have benefited from being a movie with better writings and effects.

Love or hate them,
The prequels really don’t need to be given any newer look.
Yes they have a lot of flaws, but it still managed to accomplish what it was meant to do.
We learned how Obi Wan became a trainer, we learned how Boba Fett became a bounty hunter, and we got probably the best origin story for the Empire that could ever be put together

I wish Silent Hill would stay true to the game. It was so scary. It could possibly translate really well given the right director. The guy who directed The Witch. I was so disappointed in the film version. I was a huge fan of the game when it came out. 14 and scared sless. Only other game that has done that was Alan Wake

I agree with some of them but He Man Masters of the Universe was awesome, but a remake I'd be ok with, Pearl Harbour although I did like the film a remake could be great, Spawn yea defo a remake although I did like the Original, Ghost Rider with Keanu Reeves as Johnny Blaze would be god.
reply

HEY! Ghost Rider was not a bad movie at all to me! I grow up with it and I liked it and I cannot say Nicholas Cage was a bad casting choice for Johnny Blaze, Screw You!
In all honesty: everyone wants a new ghost rider movie and everyone wants him to be in MCU for so long and I want that too

reply

No. No more remakes. Just find an original IP to do. Of all movies to be left alone in this list, it's Street Fighter, solely for Raul Julia's performance. I could see a new Green Hornet being done, but why No one knew who he was then, no one will care now. And I say this as a fan of the movie.

Yogi Bear (2010) I Know Yogi Boo Boo and the Hanna Barbera library of characters are enjoying a resurgence In MAX's Jellystone (2021-) but I want another Yogi Bear movie completely Animated and someone creative behind the camera to make a distinct take on Hanna Barbera's former mascot
reply

Despite what everyone says, I personally enjoy Spawn, The Green Hornet, The Lone Ranger, Ghost Rider, Jonah Hex, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Green Lantern (mostly because of the animation of the constructs and Mark Strong as Sinestro.
reply

The star wars Prequels made this list but not the abominations that disney shit out Yeah, okay. the prequel are actually original and entertaining.
The sequel series feels like a lazy cash grab by nostalgia baiting fans with basically a redone version of the OG trilogy.

reply

What happened to Disney making the Inheritance saga as a TV show The real problem regarding Eragon was 20th Century Studios thimking you can put a 700 page novel into 90 minutes. The Gameboy Advance game was MUCH more faithful to the book. (Big props to Sierra Games for that)
reply

Maybe Christopher Nolan could be the right film director for Pearl Harbor remake. He has a great directing for practical effects! He directed Dunkirk, an epic historical war movie based on a true story. So maybe directing Pearl Harbor would be a great idea.
reply

So pretty much 19 out of 20 of these are adaptations of original material that could've/should've been better done. Maybe the title's not quite correct then, I would have liked to see movies with original ideas that could have better execution.
