I wouldn’t class many of these as underrated less so of all time as the likes of Mandy, Dog Soldiers, Possessor, Train To Busan, Green Room, In The Mouth of Madness, Drag Me To Hell and Bone Tomahawk all received positive critical and audience receptions and frequently appear on numerous horror themed lists. Exorcist 3, likewise, is loved by a legion (sorry) of fans and not just Mark Kermode. The People Under The Stairs admittedly often gets overlooked though more often than not by Wes Craven’s other films, notably the Elm Street and Scream films, and deserves far more praise for its darkly comic tone and superb pairing of Everett McGill and Wendy Robie as the psychotic Robesons who share that same deranged onscreen chemistry so brilliantly ignited in Twin Peaks
as for my underrated pick I’d have to choose Heartless, Phillip Ridley’s criminally overlooked gem from 2009 with Jim Sturgess, Eddie Marsan, Noel Clarke, Clemence Posey and Timothy Spall. Equal parts gory, disturbing, gothic and poignant it’s a film that deserves so much more love and attention with the strong cast and Clive Barker-esque horror vibe combining to deliver a real undersung genre classic that’s well worth seeking out.

In the Mouth of Madness is one of my favorite movies. John Carpenters Lovecraft homage without adapting an actual Lovecraft story. It’s a brilliant film. I can also honestly say that several of these films are loved by the horror community. Green Room, Mandy, Train to Busan, In the Mouth of Madness, The Wailing, The Entity and others are all discussed frequently and loved in FB horror groups anf Subreddits.

I wouldn't necessarily say Sinister is underrated. For me, it falls more in the category of Horror Gem that could've been. The film has a brilliant atmosphere and keeps the tension up for the majority of its run time; however, it completely fumbles the bag with its ending that devolves into a cheap action B-movie. Had they stuck the landing, Sinister would've gone down as one of the greatest horror films ever made.

Here's others for a sequel to this list:
- Idle Hands is a horror comedy in the best ways possible.
- Student Bodies may have started the modern era of horror comedy.
- The Hidden (1987) and.
- I Come In Peace (aka Dark Angel) are both action horror at its best. Along with.
- Split Second (92)
- The Nest (87 or 88) is just a creature feature to get under your skin.
- The End

Watching Mandy feels like a fever dream. In a good way. Although it's certainly not for everyone.
However it's a good reminder that Nic Cage is still at the top of his game and people saying the man is a bad actor are clearly missing out on some of his best performances, including this one

For anyone saying _Train to Busan_ doesn’t belong here, try to see the explanation from someone who thinks the movie is underrated. I haven’t seen it, as I’m not interested in K-movies. That doesn’t mean others can’t think it should be more popular.

The Wailing is one of my all time favourites. I can’t see why it would be classed as underrated though as it has a score of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. I’d say that means it’s rated pretty highly, right And now I’m off to Netflix to watch it again.

The People Under The Stairs is hilarious. A friend gave it to me as a birthday present way back in the days since I'm a Wes Craven fan, and next day me and my roommate sat down and watched it. Such a great laugh after a night of partying.

The most underrated horror movie for me is the Matango, a 1963 brilliant live action Japanese film about a group of friends getting stuck in an island as they slowly turn into monsters physically and/or mentally

I've only seen Dog Soldiers, Sinister though saw it on a bad DVD copy from online so it was in black and white though it was my elder who did that, I saw Drag Me To Hell and In The Mouth Of Madness too.

Dark Skies is my favorite under the radar horror movie, and sure, it's sci-fi, but there's a lot of overlap, and the intense parts of Dark Skies are so damn terrifying, it's firmly on the horror side.

I thought The Invitation was a snooze until mid movie the drama accelerated so fast, I literally jumped out of my seat - scary thriller of a movie - well done!

12: 30 It turns PEOPLE into zombies by making them appear dead only to have them re-animate a day or so later and usually after they have already been buried.

There should not be a spoiler alert on a freakin' top 10 most underrated list. If you are spoiling any element of the movie you are doing it wrong

I'm very happy about where 'Trick R Treat' landed this time on underrated horrors! But I disagree with 'Train to Busan' being underrated.
