Funny enough, I watched the South Park movie as a kid, I think I was around 12 years old or so. I was already familiar with the show, so in a way I was unfazed at what the movie could throw, but I learned to appreciate it more as a teen after getting more of the jokes. As an adult, I love it even more after realizing how good of a musical it is compared to a lot of other movies. It baffles me how musically talented Matt and Trey are.

Honourable mention Mortal Kombat scorpions revenge was very dark played the games before obviously a big fan of the franchise first cartoon. I’ve seen that physically shows a child getting killed thought to myself that’s dark even Mortal Kombat it was mostly focus around scorpions origin story showing his son getting killed but I thought to myself that’s very dark for a cartoon showing kids getting killed

What was the animated movie about the depressed New York couple who were happy to be depressed They just sat around their apartment content to live a life without any excitement. They were based on a real New York couple. It came out probably in the early 00's.

I didn't watch them when I was young but when I was old enough. I did not like Fritz The Cat, but my favorite adult animated films are Heavy Metal, American Pop, Wizards 1977, Fire And Ice 1983, Watership Down, The Plague Dogs And Princess Mononoke

My then eleven year old cousin wanted to see Sausage Party when it initially came out, but she was denied, due to my aunt and uncle having watched it in advance. She's now 19, and has seen it, and thinks it's hilarious, especially THAT infamous scene.

Gonna throw out Don Hertzfield's It's Such a Beautiful Day. Although released as 3 chapters, the final film is one my absolute favorites along w Perseopolis, The Triplets of Belleville, Loving Vincent and Redline.

To be fair, adapting Philip K. Dick novels into films (e. g. A Scanner Darkly or Blade Runner) really begs for a high level of stylization. A Scanner Darkly, in particular, really has to feel hallucinatory.

I was surprised Wizards wasn't here with all the real Holocaust footage added to the animated film. It was used in the background to horrify and demoralize the elf soldiers who had never seen such brutality.

Where's Boy and the Heron That was the first PG-13 animated film to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Also, Sausage Party is a satire on not just religion, but loads of other communities

'Not care who gets offended'. The way to go for movie greatness. Sure, some stinkers, but on average stories built around STORY Instead of profits or Identities.

I will never watch grave of the fireflies again. Its one of the greatest animated films of all time, I do not wanna go through that trauma anymore.
