I thought your list was great. This is too broad a category for anyone to claim they would assemble something any better overall. We’re talking millions of movies over decades here. This was as good a list as any, with many inclusions that made you nod your head.
I would humbly suggest The Matrix, as one that is worthy of inclusion on any list.

I haven't seen 8 1/2, Schindler's List (I refuse, Parasite, the good the bad and the ugly, singing in the rain, Crouching tiger hidden dragon, the Maltese Falcon, Lord of the rings, Modern Times, Gone with the wind, star wars, seven samurai, A Space Odessey. I've seen all the rest through. I love old movies. They're way better than new movies.

I walked out of the theater during Apocalypse Now when they mutilated that water buffalo (which was real btw) and I hated A Clockwork Orange. I would have put Jaws in their place. Saving Private Ryan should have been there too. Titanic as well. That’s my 2 cents until I think of something else.

The original Godzilla and its 1956 American version with Raymond Burr, as well as Godzilla 1985, and Godzilla Minus One are movies that I think everyone need to see at least once, especially the original Godzilla and Godzilla Minus One. Minus One is a masterpiece.

I watched Schindler's List recently and god was it disturbing. That's probably 3hrs and 15 mins that I'll never get back. It's also possibly the best war film I've ever seen. And unfortunately or maybe fortunately my high school never made us watch this

Another movie every school should show is To Sir, With Love. Also Stand and Deliver. Maybe even Lean On Me. There aren't enough good movies for teens that parents show them that have lessons in them without being brutal and such.

Star Wars & Lord of the Rings should be higher.
