Wearing crocs and sweatpants here and there in public actually compliments your sense of style. Means you value comfort and are easy going. These try hard guys wearing distressed skinny jeans and Chelsea boots in universities or any casual settings are usually alone with no girls.

Crocs are the textbook definition of function over form, that's why I use it when aesthetic doesn't have as much of an importance as being comfy. Like, if i'm roaming around the house, I don't see no reason to use uncomfortable shoes over crocs.
