Im vegan but I'm far from a perfect vegan, when i get invited out for dinner nine times out of ten there isnt anything vegan to eat so my options are be vegetarian for a meal or not spend time with loved ones, like these guys said with travel, with language barriers and convenience its easier to be vegetarian while away, if my vegan brand of hair mousse is sold out its either walk around like i stuck my finger in a power point or buy a non vegan brand, i know there are many passionate vegans out there who would cry well you arent a real vegan, i would go hungry before eating something non vegan and of course i would choose to have frizzy hair instead of using non vegan hair care, and while I applaud these guys on their passion and dedication I think the majority of us vegans just try to do the best we can when, where and how we can, and we should all support eachother for that, there are enough people in this world who want to argue the point with us about our lifestyle and jump on us for every little non vegan action we make, we need to stick together, not fight amoungst ourselves and be down on one of our own

Thank you so much for this video You two said exactly what is in my heart and mind. I agree. I have switched to a plant based diet two weeks ago. I can't bring myself to have a sentient being on my plate anymore. I feel too sad. However, I also know that am not perfect either. I've been telling people, 'I am trying not to eat anymore meat or dairy. If it happens though, it happens. I am not always going to get the choice of completely vegan food everywhere I go. ' I haven't come across any issues further yet because I am still a baby in the plant based diet. I also understand that people will say things to try and put me in a tough spot. But I believe this is the right choice for ME. And that's okay. I love the choice I made. And in turn, it has boosted my self confidence and positive energy within myself. Thank you again for making this video and saying everything I have been wanting to say from my heart and mind. I just couldn't put the right words together yet.

I completely understand the meaning of ahimsa, and being vegan to lessen the footprint, help the planet, etc. And I agree with these statements and the ethics of it. Many of these vegan influencers also thought they would be vegan forever. but when their health took a turn for the worst, they had to make changes. I think this video says, We have better ethics than those that eat animals. Yes, nobody is perfect but I think the way you addressed this really downplayed other people's intentions and reasons for switching, like you are better than them. Most of these people are doing it for health reasons. As someone who strives for veganism. But literally CANNOT because my heart doesn't work correctly, my body does not extract the nutrients from plants as easily. I do not know why. I love plants. fruits and veggies and all of it. I dont like meat. I do not wish for this. I find this video of We have ETHICS, so offensive.

Don't think it matters if it's a one meal for one life. Even a 1000 meals for 1 life is the same. Efficiency is not a gauge for what is cruel and violent. If we kill a cow that makes 50 meals or we kill a whale that makes 5000 meals, it's the same. \\ So is an inconvenience enough of a reason to make exceptions every time? One could say, well, the village only has dishes containing meat, so i'm going to eat meat. Is this still exceptable action to take for a vegan? I don't care that i wear leather shoes cuz i don't want to miss out on bowling. Where does it stop? One could go to a restaurant and find out they have no vegan dish, so one could say, it's too inconvenient to go to another restaurant, i'm gonna have a steak meal.

Good intention but unfortunately wrong on all 3 counts. Vegan diet is malnutrition. It's among the worst diets for your health. It's destructive to the planet with mono-cropping. We need animals as food just as well as animals need us to be bred and protected. Ruminants through holistic grazing could be our last hope to restore the topsoil which has been depleted by intensive agriculture. You're trying to deny the cycle of life which doesn't work and will end badly for you and for your followers. You're trying to override nature/God's design which you have no chance. When malnutrition sets in, we'll see it in your faces and the health problems if you will disclose. You have good intention but very misguided. Good luck.

As a vegetarian (who goes out of my way to only buy humanely sourced dairy and eggs, so much of what you both said resonated for me. As you mention, people will always try to poke holes in a choice that haven't chosen for themselves. I am far from a perfect vegetarian and some would argue that I'm even more flawed for not being full-blown vegan, but I agree that it's about evolving and trying to find the path that is the most ethical and moral, that is still feasible for you as an individual. I don't believe there is the perfect vegan/vegetarian, only people who are doing their best within their means. Love this and love you guys Thanks

Everything in this video struck home with me. I eat 100% vegan, I always buy cruelty free cosmetics, I stopped buying leather years ago, and try to do my best. And still, I have several shoes and jackets etc made of leather from before I went vegan. I don't want to promote that industry by wearing them, but at the same time I don't want to throw it all away. I usually never care what people think of me, but I find myself feeling more and more guilty by wearing a jacket or a pair of shoes bought years ago, and thinking others will judge me for it. It's a tough decision for me, and I find myself torn.

Totally true, sometimes it's hard to be 100% perfect, but all those little decisions we make everyday can make so much impact on the world and our environment. I try to eat mostly vegan, use little plastic and make green choices, but I also love to travel and that makes it hard to be '100% perfectly green'. Even though, all those little choices we make are great and there are many people in this world who aren't aware of making better and greener choices. Loved this video, it's really an eye-opener for me. Keep up doing what you do guys, you are wonderful

Lovely words, struck a chord with me. time to make my changes to live on a higher vibration. Thank you I also wanted to say Happy Travels I travelled overland to Tibet. The vast plateau and studded night skies make chsnges in you. I look forward to seeing how. Tibetans are the mist beautiful, egalitarian, grounded people. Travel there is a communion, an honour. Turn a prayer wheel for me, release as much suffering as you can for us all Oh, and have you pondered a Mt Kailash circumnavigation? Love and blessings. xx

what a wonderful message as a fellow vegan, i as fall into similar thought traps of anxious perfectionism. it is so hard when others in the community are pointing out others for not 'being vegan enough', or ' a true vegan'; when in actuality perception is reality. my definition of a 'perfect vegan' is very unlikely to the same view as anyone else. thank you guys so much for making yourselves vulnerable to help others. thank you for reinforcing that it is okay to be human. thank you so much for your energy
