No need for the cap in salon. But it makes it so much easier to get a certain style of highlight at home without hot roots, and you actually can control where the hair comes from and it looks super nice.
Also, THE CAP PREVENTS HOT ROOTS.
Pretty sure thats the main purpose of using a cap.
Rant over, love watching Brads videos. He just annoys me when he trashed something because he doesnt understand it.

Edit: I have virgin, 3C curly hair. My scalp is dry, I have high density, thick hair. My hair is healthy, but it is dry. I believe the color is like a 3, and I have started to develop natural gray hair sporadically throughout. My family gets grays really early that's why I have them. However, I hate the gray and I'm so bored with my all 1 length hair, and I dont know if I'm warm or cool skin toned so I dont know what color would look best on me. HELP! BRAD AND OTHER BRAD FOLLOWERS, PLEASE. THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS, LOVES! U ARE ALL AMAZING & FABULOUS!

I just went to the salon to get highlights and you say the cap is random but like. This chick did a bunch of Vincent Price streaks at my temples, I look like I seen a ghost with 2 big white streaks on top of my head, an uneven patch on the side where she teased it before applying the bleach, and she didn't frame my face, my bangs are still totally brown. It looked nice in the dim lights of the salon, but in regular lighting. I'm pretty sure I've seen dogs with cuter highlights than what I paid for. I'm ready to just have my mom help me with some cap lights.

Im working on getting my hair Brads color right now. In the past month Ive lightened it once and then did a bleach wash to try removing the rest of the red now lite pink that was leftover from months ago. Now Im going to redo my roots today and hopefully tone it to the silvery blond. I hope I achieve this color 100% super excited! (Just felt like sharing when I realized his hair is perfect in this video) plus Im tanning so I dont look washed out!

That first girl went and had the front done and toner put on, professionally. These people who screw up. LIE, like the dogs they are
She had NO processing or streaks in the front. now she has them?
Faker. It is THIS unethical BS that inspires other immature fools to do the same dumb things, yet, they don't have the money for mommy to take them to get it fixed. This is WRONG.

The first time I wanted to get Blonde Balayage I went to this lady, and she used a cap. It took forever, and then she used weird natural lightener, not bleach, and made my hair orange after two sessions of lightening. Poor her, she didnt charge for the second session. I went to another hairdresser who fixed it. Instead of getting balayage I went full on blonde lol

I used two different bleaching caps, one clairol the other Loreal and the clairol didn't work well but I think it was cause I didn't know what I was doing. The l'oreal one works best for me, I just have no patience or the pain tolerance for the cap to sit there and pull hair through a million holes. It's worth it, I just don't have the patience. XD sorry Brad.

Not gonna lie- I kind of want to do this now LOL. I'm not going to because I've watched Brad Mondo enough to know that more often than not these at home things turn to disaster. also my hair is to my butt and it's pretty virgin. (only baby lights like 5 years ago. When the time and money is right, I'll seek out a good salon; )

The first videos bleach is exactly what I used the first time lol. Took me 2 boxes and so much purple shampoo, but that stuff worked! It WAS platinum. And I can't get it any other shade now lol. It's fried and won't hold any color. But hey, platinum right?

I had a hairdresser do highlights on me worse than some of these. I changed to a better stylist and she kept asking me over and over if I did them myself because they were so awful She saved my hair though and turned it from a disaster to something gorgeous

I do mine all the time, they are beautiful. It saves me tons of money. I mean they did cap highlights for years and years in salons, now everyone says omg they are sooo bad, no in reality all coloring of your hair is bad, in a salon or not!

Got half way through and ripped it off my head. I do not have the patients for this. And my hair tangle so easily It is a terrible process to put yourself through alone. Just get professional help. Mentally if you get through the process.

My daughter uses the cap to highlight my hair. It always turns out great. I've gotten highlights from so many different hairdressers and I never like them. They're either to chucky or too brassy. Ill stick with my 17 year old mini me lol

Cap highlights are bad and we should go for a foil. I get it, really. But could you please make a video on how to use those caps without ruin our hair? Cause I already bought TWO of them before finding this videos.
