Will olaplex save your hair from falling off? (let's test it)

I've been trying to grow my hair out for years, and someone with fine hair that's prone to breakage and tangley rat's nests and lived 10 years with rust filled well water, any new length would be lost to trimming off deadends and the breakage was so bad you would think I owned a shedding cat if you saw my clothes after I brushed my hair.
Using Olaplex regularly and babying it has brought my hair back from the brink.
I use #4 shampoo and #5 conditioner as my regular shampoo and conditioner every other month. I rotate through other qualityshampoos on off months. I use a #0 treatment at the beginning of months that I use Olaplex and mix the #3 treatment in with a homemade hair mask of honey, yogurt, grapeseed oil, coconut cream, and banana that I use every few months. I don't use heat on my hair, i brush it before showing, use only a soft bristle wet brush for detangling, do not wrap it in a towel to dry, and changed my cotton pillowcases out for silk.
A bottle of Olaplex goes a long way, still it can be pretty expensive to use so much if you are paying retail prices. Luckily my stylist will let me buy it from her at cost, it's nearly. 50% difference.

Hi Brad! I love your videos! Could you please do a video that shows Olaplex in action with the same device that you used with your hairstylist to look at your hair and scalp? I think a lot of ppl would like to see some real knowledge of that subject because that working is really a mystery still. Also here in Europe I'm using like this Olaplex-kinda product named Fiberplex. If you could also test them side by side with some other dupes of it? Like bleaching session like in this video but showing the actual results under that close-up aspect. There is some studies that I read about all these -plex stuff but there are basically just model drawings of these working so it would be cool to see those working. or not) up close. I'm also curious about your opinion of apHogee treatments and would like to see a video about that product too, especially about the two-step treatment. It's does have a lot of videos in here already but most of the treatments are done to like 3a to 4c hair and they are trying to keep or reform their curl patterns.

I have bleached my hair in the past although that was about 4 years ago so I have virgin hair now. But I just feel like its so dull and lifeless, its not even that damaged (but I do have split ends, but its not shiny like it used to, its dry, dull etc. I really just need one Olaplex product to help with that but Im not sure which one to get. I was thinking No. 7.? But Im not sure. Im not fond of oils.

Olaplex 3 worked really nicely on my hair. Every time I used it my hair was really soft and felt healthy. After hearing rave reviews about adding Olaplex 0 before using 3, I used it and last it completely fried my hair. I'm so sad because so far no amount of conditioning has helped and so much has broken off. It's going to take a long time to repair and grow it back.

Olaplex is meant for alive hair, not dead. Olaplex simply has a molecule or chemical that bleach ruins during the process. You feed it back. But you cant feed what is dead or not connected. Same as using Olaplex on hair extensions. Just a waste of money, except for the other emolient, conditioning properties it has. But thats just the same of other good conditioners.

I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised by the end of this video. I was fully expecting a huge Olaplex plug. I love that you were honest about it, I feel like 90% of hairdressers wouldn't be open-minded enough to even question Olaplex at all. I'm ready to bleach my hair but I can't afford Olaplex right now so I needed this info.

Anybody else realize the product was used incorrectly? This wasnt a fair comparison as Olaplex suggests boosting your developer because olaplex 1 dilutes your bleach making it not work as well. A fair comparison would of been 40volume with olaplex versus 30 volume. Or 30 volume with olaplex versus a 20 volume bleach etc.

It didn't work for me.
I went to a different hair salon where they damage my hair.
He also used olaplex to fix the damage he did but it didn't work. My hair was falling so much since that day you could see pieces of hair falling of my head and my hair was also like rubber band.

I used to use Olaplex shampoo for my colored hair, and it dried out my scalp an insane amount. My dandruff and itchiness became unbearable, so I unfortunately had to stop using it. It was very good at keeping my color in, just wasnt worth the misery I went through.

Olaplex is not for everyone. I was using it for 5 months and my blonde platinum hair started falling and breaking so bad i just discontinued. I usually go to jcp salon. Well i hope see different results soon after stopping the treatment

The difference is olaplex dilutes the bleach to protect the integrity of the hair. Therefore it weakens the bleach and dosent lift as much. Bleach with no olaplex is not diluted so it lifts better but your hair gets more damage.

Brad or anyone who can help? When bleaching and using Olaplex, must we bump up de developer? I want to bleach using bleach powder and 30 volume peroxide. If I use Olaplex must I then use 40 volume?
