I love this! I grew up watching the old style of clamp at the bottom and barrel roll the hair around the iron. It always look awful on me! I appreciate you telling us what you're going for with each method. I'm finally understanding what I need to do to get what I want!

Im black and my hair (which was permed straight) literally turned bronze and fell out like little toothpicks at 400 degrees. Burnt to a crisp. I was told later to never go above 325 (permed) 350 (natural) on black hair. Not sure if thats still the rule with newer curling irons but Ive never dared to go that high unless its weave lol

Brad please bring out your short hair baby more! I was in an abusive relationship and he put superglue in my hair so I had to cut it short for the first time in 25 years or so. It is about the length of your models but I have no idea how to style it. Send help please!

I am one of those unfortunate people whose hair just cannot hold a curl. If I brushed it after curling like he did, it would completely fall out. How does he expect us to brush through hair with hairspray in it? I'm so confused.

I use a wand that doesnt taper, literally looks like the one hes using without the clamp honestly my favorite thing ever, super easy and I just flip my hair over and gently shake them outperfect every time.

Ok. now put the wig on and show us a video where you have to do it when you cant see. I always tell my hairdresser sure I could what you do if I could take my head off.

omggggg I totally agree about the hair wand! It was 8th grade and I was not a fan of that trend, still used the barrel w/clamp iron lol
