Hairdresser reacts to americas next top model makeovers s. 8&9 Jenny: I really wish that I could get a make over by someone who knows what would look good for me but I do not have the money, NOT even for a trim and my hair is down to my buttocks and in desperate need for a trim, all I can say is oh well, maybe next month and I say that every month even though I know it can and will NEVER happen cause I can not afford it. But I love the new looks, cuts and color's

Brittany's weave was so bad that it started ripping out her hair and she had to have it taken out by the end. All the black girls on the show that were used to weaves were calling her a crybaby and saying it wasn't that bad, when we can all freaking see that this is a nightmare weave that's destroying this poor woman's scalp, because it can't handle it.

I feel like it's the perfect time in society to make them all natural. Their natural color and natural curl, wave, or straightness. Embrace the girls who look like models without any extra effort, just healthy natural. Length doesn't really matter, they could all have different cuts, but I hate how much dye and extension went into that show.

I really loved the way this young man verbalized his reactions to the makeovers. Good or bad, he was so respectful and kind, whereas many people in a position like he has are absolutely rude and hurtful. I dont know him, I just stumbled across this video, but I can tell he has a good heart and will go far with his amazingly real charisma!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I just don't think white girls should have weaves we're just not usually made for it. Two braids with half my hair in each is absolutely painful after a day. I can't imagine how those tiny braids would work in my hair. I'd be bleeding and bald after 48hrs

11: 15 that hurts! I've been there looking at hairdresser mirror crying after having ong hair chopped off (parent's decision, because as a kid i didn't like brushing my curly hair. Now at 30 i would cry too. or murder person who did. Both probably

I remember season 8's makeovers and I think it's really one of the better seasons in total for makeovers. I thought all of the girls, though not all are my style, look great afterwards

Tyra is always trying to chop all the models hair off even if it doesnt go with their face shape, meanwhile her own hair is the same all the time with lots of length lol

Bianca should have just stayed super short! She looked so fab with the buzz and her perfect face. It really showed her natural beauty twice as much as the wig.

TBH I could never be on this show. I would be BEGGING them to NOT die my hair. I have natural Chestnut-y Auburn hair that cannot be re-achieved with dye.

they are all very pretty but at the same time with all the makeup and the dark lighting, they look starved, almost like skeletons. I'm scared.

I never understand why they would give the girls with that fine hair weave with braids. Versus just yeah know bead extension like a normal person?
reply

I realize you were probably five when this season of America's next top model was on, but every single one of these people was in style at the time.

Tyra: I've never heard of a wig being sewn in
Me: Isn't that a weave
Tyra: You'll be getting a weave.
me: Oh so obviously not.

reply

Ive never liked Tyra. She literally uses the same hairstyles on every group almost at random and its a gamble whether they look good or not
