Hairdresser reacts to box dye bleach fails

When I wanted it blonde I went to the salon.
Ive only dyed my hair at home ONCE. Boy, that was a mistake. My hairstylist sister in law told me to NOT USE BOX DYE did I listen? NO.
But get this, I wasnt suspecting I would be allergic to it. I had dyed my hair many times before ( all at a salon)
I got it all in my hair ( I had blonde hair at the time and was just over it and I was too lazy to go to the salon and always wanted to dye I myself)
Than the burning hit. It BURNED SO BADLY. I was sobbing and washing my hair in the shower. It was horrible, bleach didnt even burn my scalp like that!
Needless to say, I have never used box dye again.
The red stained the blonde a bit so it looked bad even tho I washed it out immediately after I was done applying. But I went to my stylist and she was able to give me my natural hair color back (dyed to my closed color) I have not dyed my hair since. Its been 6 years, but I do have to say my hair is so healthy and when I kept dying it, my hair grew so slow. But now it grows super fast and if I chopped it off to my chin like I did 2 years ago, its back to below my chest in a year

Hey Brad, I know you dont approve but coming from someone who has always box dyed my hair I have a fantastic combo Ive always used that works best for my hair being Color Oops Extra Strength, Literally Any Blonde Dye to even out the color and the color Im planning to use! Its an amazing combo for me. But for no reason what so ever use color oops and bleach around the same time it will fry your hair! Since color oops is a color stripper.

She could have went to the salon for the price of all those boxes of dye. As a teenager I used to do this lmao I'd go spend 13 bucks on bleach box dye ( 2 at a time) over n over. Yep. As I got lil older I realized I could be paying to get it done professionally. I mean unless you can't get there for some reason lol. Now I buy the bleach n the developer for cheap plus it lasts awhile.

I had a little bit of a hair disaster when i tried bleaching my hair last year. Now i have an even brown color and i like it much better than the died, orange-blonde hair. I searched up bleach hair fails to make myself feel better, and that made me find you. So happy that I can warn people about bleaching hair at home now and that ive learned from my mistakes: )

For the first girl, I feel like it wouldnt be that and if she went over the lengths again with a brush, proper sectioning, and LOTS of bleach to really saturate it and then a couple days later gone with a Uber light or platinum toner and then a couple days later go over it with the manic panic. But holy F she really did a number on her hair

I used to be insecure about my forehead, my chin, my nose, everything. Now I really like my features and I have come a long way. I really hope that she is able to get over her insecurity bc I know it feels bad. There is nothing wrong with her forhead at all! It's a perfectly normal size. I think she's beautiful

That first one happened to me. It didnt go through and I had spots and highlights. When I washed it it didnt even show. This was like a year ago. I wanna try again and Im gonna try to section and do it better because it was not it. But it did look good after it dried and I straighten. I WANNA TRY AGAIN

Maybe I just have bad taste, but I feel like the first girl's hair actually looked kind of good at all points in the video. I liked the weird, browny-blonde orangeish color she had going on when she bleached it, I liked the purple ends with the brownish roots. It just looked kind of nice to me

Ouch the coloring bleaching, coloring bleaching. How do these people have any hair on their heads left? My natural color is level 8 ashy blonde, so I can get a decent result at home using either bleach or color. Many if these people have pitch black hair, which means they should really go to a salon!

Im so happy that he kept saying she shouldnt be insecure about her forehead.
When middle parts became a trend, i asked my stylist to give me a middle part. She said she would, but i wouldnt look good because my forehead is too big. Ever since then ive been SO insecure about my forehead!

the girl thats going to lift with box color first and then use bleach.
um. this is why we go to school to get a license. oh wow wow wow. i cant blame her tho because how could she even know better. they def dont tell you these things on the box directions

The purple at the ends wasnt bad it wasnt good either Im confused as to why the top didnt change that literally made me cringe overall her hair before the disaster was gorgeous oh well tho its hair weve all had our bad hair experience

The best part of watching the video for me is watching Brad Regens freaking point and just decide that he has no more hoes for the person doing their hair! He tried so hard to stay optimistic, but when hes over it, its done!
