Mom: why do it yourself? Cutting your own hair is retarded Youll look like a boy with that haircut! (This was a few weeks ago. May sound kinda wack bc somewhat outta context but the unnecessary retarded part made me cringe smh its personal to get this haircut and even when Im in a celebratory mood she has to be negative bout it. Shes always right bc o cant do that bc she knows her stuff bc her hairs shirt she emphasizes defensively. And to her Im the pessimistic one. Idk lmao. Yea, I admit for reasons but honestly compared to her I feel I get more excited than mostlike a child and that the family can agree on haha. Im trying to live my life to the fullest dammit. Plus on that note Im an adult so I know what I want. YOLO and lifes wAY too short in my case. )

In 2012 I had very long hair, almost to my butt, and I worked with a man whose son had leukemia and a few of us shaved our heads to support him. I completely shaved my head and my entire family said I had a mental breakdown. I did it for a good cause and unfortunately locks of love wouldn't let me donate it because I had dyed and permed it at one point. Oh well it grew back.

The nurse is using trauma shears, not kid scissors, to cut her hair. Commonly used to cut seatbelts, to remove clothes quickly, etc. in trauma situations while not harming the person. They are flat and stable on one side while the other blade goes up and down-this is so they remain level while cutting.

wow lol ppl did some impulsive stuff XDD my hair is thick-ish and knee length but the only implusive thing i had done years ago was side bangs XD now i barely touch it: only cut some split ends once in a while XD

16: 28 Those are trauma scissors. They can cut through fabric, skin, rope, etc. A lot of medical personnel, especially if in the army, like my dad was (he was a medical corpsman in the navy, use them.

Havent scrolled down far enough to see if anyone else said it, but those scissors are trauma shears working in the medical field (Im an RN myself) you need shears that can cut through nearly anything.

I shaved all my hair off a month ago, and it is seriously just a freeing experience. Easy to manage, easy to dye, and I just have one less thing to deal with.
