Hairdresser reacts to americas next top model makeovers s. 14 MadnessKitty: 2: 54 it has been 10 years since someone professionally did my hair XD. I was 6 lol and they only cut a mere 2 inches off (I say mere cus my hair has gone down to my ass my entire life so it was still long even after that cut) I wanna cut it short, like short short cus I don't really have the management skills for this long of hair but yeah no parents aint havin that. At least my mother is giving me a wolf cut soon.

Is it just me or does it seem like they always choose like a bad photo that doesn't show the hair and has zero editing or color correction, not to mention the lack of proper lighting or makeup for the before and then in the after go insane with color correction and editing and overall making it more professional so then you think they did something right when they really didn't make the hair better?

Spoilers!
A lot of people wouldnt agree with me, but Raina really shouldve won the competition instead of Krista. I definitely think that her photos were the best and Krista looked like she smelled something bad in her final covergirl photo. Rainas wolfy purple perfume shoot was absolutely stunning and she totally had the model look. And she was a great sport after she got eliminated in the end.

I can't believe I'm disagreeing with you for the first time brad! The red head pixie cut is edgy for early 2000s era, same with the shave underneath. I do think the red head was a little too short for proper styling that would have looked good and edgy on her. And the dark golden blonde weave with the bangs I think was very early 2000s carmel.

Lol le gasp! she hasn't had a professional cut in 7 years. (me looking at my hair cutting scissors I bought after my mom stopped cutting my hair, knowing in 35 years I've had my hair cut at a budget hair cutter twice and nothing else in the whole of my existence. Um, yep! Lol

but dont models have to get like a whole new portfolio once they change their hair? like some literally have contracts so they cant do whatever they want when it comes to changing their look? Im pretty sure if someone tried to cut Tyras hair theyd be sued

I don't know about the situation in America, but in Germany, every girl who gets a short hair cut doesn't get any jobs during the show because of their hair. It's always the same.
They want models with long hair to work with.

these make up looks were flattering nobody. I feel as though I could get the same effect with a $3 Claire's makeup pallette and my fingers. There is nothing worse for a heavy-jawed girl than heavy shitty ugly lipstick.

Nr 2
This was 2010 and if you were in the business back then, then you know this was on the trends back then. And if you know the basics of hairdressing, that is not an a-line bob; )

These weren't out of date for the time. Things cycle thru quickly now. In 2021, we're back to 2005, so the curtain in the front and daggers in the back is only a few years from being it!

I think they rig it from the beginning with some of these cuts that are not at all versatile. it is gonna be hard to photograph well with a hairstyle that can't be styled different ways

It's almost as if they cut the long haired girl (whose boyfriend liked it long) out of spite. She was clearly the prettiest and for all she was still stunning, they destroyed her.

what really gets me about brenda's makeover was that she started barely passing each round and the hair wasn't working ( big surprise ) so tyra sent someone to cut her hair AGAIN
