I tested sun in so you dont have to Kae: My hair is naturally blonde, but over the years it darkened and a few weeks ago my mom gave me a bottle of SunIn and told me to try it to lighten it a little, as I was really upset my hair darkened. When I say I sprayed the entire bottle on my head in the span of a week, I mean it. Not too long later I went to get my hair done and I just decided on doing a peek a boo with brown on the top and blonde underneath. The bleaching went fine and my stylist noticed no problems. I didn't notice because my hair was curled but after straightening it I had multiple pieces broken off almost to my roots where she had bleached it. I don't know if she noticed and didn't tell me or what. It's underneath my top layer of hair so not to noticeable but it is towards the front and I wish i saw this video sooner.

I used Sun In as a teenager, growing up on the beach in Australia. I was convinced Sun In worked when it was really just getting kept at a nice blonde because I was always in the sun. I'm a natural strawberry blonde and hated the red.
I swear by the John Frieda now living in Chicago, away from the brutal Aussie sun. Its also good at having a nice natural balayage/shadow root effect which is difficult as a strawberry blonde. I've also noticed that since I started using the John Frieda product, my hair is generally glossier and holds up better to humidity before I turn into a ball of frizz.

I used to use sun in in high school (circa 1999. It turned out great on me at that time and caused no damage. I have naturally dark blonde to light brown hair and it made my hair a light to medium golden blonde hair which worked great on me. I've used sun-in a few years ago and the product no longer lightens as well. I was really disappointed with it. I think they reformulated it to reduce the amount of hydrogen peroxide in. I also tried the John freida spray and it didn't do much and worked very similarity to the reformulatted sun-in

Omfg I used to use sun in all the time at the pool in 5th & 6th grade lol I had a mousy light brown grey color natural virgin hair (Im Italian) & it gave me a sun kissed glow does that make sense? Some strands in my front money pieces were pretty blonde, but the rest of my hair definitely lightened a lot and I pretty much looked like a brassy dirty blonde if that makes sense, but like I said my hair already was that mousy light brown color to begin with, so it never looked that bad

Im naturally dirty blonde and sun in is amazing if you have dark blonde hair! I bleached it 3-4 months ago and have been able to maintain that platinum blonde look with just sun-in (I do go out in the sun A LOT so if you dont youll need to apply + blow dry often) this used to be my go to as a teen and it still is as an adult. Out of laziness I have started mixing my own with just hydrogenated peroxide, lemon juice and water though! Loved the video Brad

I was very skeptical/scared about Sun In but I first used a bottle on my hair 2 years ago and it was awesome! I have medium-dark brown hair and it turned my hair medium- light brown! I never noticed any damage and Ive touched up my roots every 6months or so. Now Im 21 and ready to use another bottle! Be careful and make sure you apply evenly thoughI always notice that it lightens over a couple days to a week!

OMG i used to use this religiously when I was in middle school. I used the tropical breeze pink bottle version of sun in and it work perfectly for me. I sucked at application - I mainly spayed it on the top of my head but it worked and I had decent gingerish hair. I probably could've gotten it lighter but I freaked out once I saw my dark brown hair was turning ginger. Lol

As an old lady from the 80s. Sun in was kind of marketed as the easy portable method for teens and pre teens. The bottle doesn't warm you it will turn your hair literally neon green if you don't really scrub it out before you go swimming. I spent the entire summer before I started Jr high with the greenest of green hair thanks to sun in and chlorine lol

My grandma used to put sun in in my hair in the summer when we would be out in the sun back in the late 90s. Sometimes we would even put lemon juice. I already had naturally dark blonde hair though and it seems to work as far as turning it more yellow lol. (I loved it back then) Then again more yellowish shades of blonde was in in the late 90s.

I have dyed my hair dark brown for the longest time and have been wanting to grow out my natural color which is a medium brown. I wanted to use sun in to at least make my hair a little lighter so it looks more natural colored without using bleach and without it turning orange. This video helped but Im still scared haha

Some people are born with hair that can bleach NATURALLY by Sun exposure. The SUN IN and SUN BUM products intensify this already natural effect. My mother sprayed my hair and I use it every summer still! Yes, spray your hair while it is wet. Blondes get brighter and lighter. Brunettes can become strawberry blondes.

I started to use the Sun In around 1984 and used it for a few times. I had medium brown hair and it turned my hair to a light brown with reddish hues. It was really pretty but then started to use lemon juice, conditioner and the sun and still do to this day 2022! I am a blonde and have been since the 84

I used it for years and my hair being naturally black to a very nice brown
I used it gradually. Anytime I would wash my hair I would blow dry some sections that had sun in. It worked wonders! My hair didnt get damaged until I started playing with color. I donated my hair with sun in.

They work!
I have been using them for loooong years. I have fine hair that cant be bleached. (Because I love them long)
I can go as light as whitish blonde if I apply repeatedly. I like the blonde it gives, lots of shades and natural lights.

I used Sun In as a teenager in the 80's to give myself a Mad Max Road Warrior blond streak on the side of my head. It worked well and looked good, to me anyway, but as it grew out, it turned an orange-y color. Have never used it again.
