Is rice water the secret to extreme hair growth? Oliver: Ok. I am 45 and I still have all my hair (btw Im male) however my hair line is higher than it was 20 years ago and Im receding. Also when I was 15-22 I grew my hair out. like way out. My hair before I cut it at 22 was literally to my ass! Ive been trying to grow my hair out for the past 5/6 years but after it gets to my shoulders I cut it off because I hate waiting and my hairline makes me not want my hair long. For the past year and a half Ive grown my hair out again its a little past my shoulders but my hair isnt growing as fast as it did when I was younger. So I went down the rabbit hole of hair growing treatments and to regrow hair if you are thinning or balding! I have found a recipe! No CAP! Its actually working! Ive been using this recipe 2/3 times a week for a month now, and my hair has grown so much and is regrowing hairs on my balding receding hairline! The recipe I use is different! Its fermented rice water cloves thyme red onion and instant coffee you boil all those things together, then drain the liquid from all the onions and cloves etc. then you add some castor oil to the liquid put in a spray bottle. before you spray all over head and scalp and balding areas, you must massage your head first for five minutes and really get the blood circulation going then spray all over head and hair then put a shower cap on. Leave on head overnight and wash out in morning! Im telling you my hair has never been more radiant so she silky and shiny, its the most soft hair Ive ever felt on anything or anyone in my life not to mention it really works! Ive had everyone I know ask me how is my hair so long so fast and why does it look like my hair line is filling in! Its crazy! I swear this really does work! The hair industry does not want you to know this!

I mean, I am always skeptical for ANY treatment that says it makes your hair grow faster. Why? Because your HAIR is DEAD! That's why there are really only a handful of proven treatments for growing hair. The only way to increase hair growth is to affect your follicles, and I can imagine that some dilute-fermented-rice-water is not enough for that. We also don't know how many of these diluted nutrients can go trough your skin barrier(many skin products have special designed lipid-soluble vectors to deliver the nutrients, this is also kept secret from brand-to-brand and might be the difference between a good and bad one. I'll say that never cutting your hair and never using damaging products on it (daily shampoo, bleaching, dying, straightening, curling, aggressive brushing, hair styling products) combined with a stressless lifestyle, a healthy diet and good genes is the secret of Yao women. And of anybody that wants natural, long and healthy hair. Give it a try!

I am from South East Asia. There are many passed down cultural traditions from one generation to another that in fact are incredibly beneficial, even though its not backed up by research. It is also important to understand you can use this technique despite having the budget to purchase really expensive products. At the end of the day, these are the sorts of organic products most green-conscious individuals prefer anyways. You can literally use the excess water from cooking the rice (not just soaking it, which means, you don't have waste the rice or the excess water. Last thing I do want to put down here is, if you are planning to use any organic natural method for skin, face and hair, it has to be consistent and avoid using heavy chemicals at the same time. I hope I motivated those who are hesitant, to try this out and not to give up on it, at least for 1-2 months of cultivating this habit.

I'm really confused about this; when I'm staying at the coast (it's really hot, leaving the rice for more than 24hrs makes it basically go bad. I'm not sure if that's the fermentation process, but I couldn't bare to use it after a week, I assume something will start growing there. I once forgot and left it for two days and once I opened the lid I almost vomited and disposed everything
When I'm staying in the capital (same country but it's a cool area) even after three days, the smell of the rice water is tolerable. I can leave it for a week there.
Though I'm now at the coast and wondering whether I've been doing it wrong the whole time. I want to prepare the rice and I'd like to do it for a week this time but I don't think I can put something that foul on my hair.

ive done this only once because it was so stink, so i soaked the rice in water seperated the two and put the water in a spray bottle and left it for one night then i sprayed it on my hair left it for 30 min, then washed it out i didnt notice in the first month but after three months i was braiding my hair into two braids and thought holey shit my hair has gotten longer and felt and looked so shiny and healthy but i must say i did wear lace wigs now and then to prevent straightening my hair on the daily and yeah always slept with two braids a little bit of hair does shed though

So many awesome products in America to put on ur hair but so many of them that are hyped up to be healthy & awesome have literally made my hair break off & fall out. Like certain keratin products, olaplex & even certain Aveda products ( like the green line & damage remedy) which I used to use religiously. Maybe its the condition my hairs in or Im seriously lacking something in my hair but Im petrified to use anything unless its organic or all natural.

Im sure someone said this in the comments already,
but their quality of rice versus our quality of pesticide-filled rice you buy from a bag in the store,
their quality of water versus our flouride infested water coming through our shower heads, etc- I believe would make an impact on how well this would work for us here.
Still going to go try this right now but I need to get my hands on some better rice haha. Thank you for sharing!

for those in the US you can find pomelo in international Food stores such as Asian or Hispanic.
rid the peel of any harmful pesticides by soaking it in a container filled with water & a quarter to a half cup of vinegar let it soak for 15 -20 minutes.
next grab a couple tablespoons of baking soda grab a sturdy sponge and scrub scrub scrub the outside of the pomelo and rinse it off. finally peeling it for your use.

I would use apple cider vinegar, it breaks down the build up on your scalp but I'm sure if you finger massages to help remove the scum. It does work also it does strengthen the hair over time so less breakage, I have used this natural method, did also use filtered purified water that has the heavy metals taken out of it, too not block your hair shafts. I'm in uk and 26 inches I got whilst using this and other methods too.

I did the inverse massaging method (shampooing upside down, used sunny isle Jamaican black castor oil 2x in a week, and rice water and orange peels 3 days in a row, and I grew over an inch within ONLY A WEEK. However, my hair naturally always grows really fast, and I wash daily (I live in Vegas, with semi-oily scalp, I've yet to lean away from washing daily.

I know the product SK-II was developed after they noticed that the hands of those working with rice were not aged. This is called Pitera and it's the substance that is formed in the process of fermenting rice. This is the science behind this. I honestly think there's probably something to it since SK-II has based its entire line around this concept.

If u have extremely frizzy and dry hair, just use rice water, peal is not essential, I use rice water instead of shampoo, works better than anything I have ever used before, try it once if u are struggling, u might like I would recommend not to use shampoo at all when using rice water, just use your conditioner for the ends. Not the scalp.

Using this has been my life actually, I'm growing out my hair after an unfortunate accident, and i wanted a balayage or sombre but I can't get it due to my short hair which is 3cm, rice water is cheaper for me, being a Filipino who washes the rice when about to cook it i take the water i washed and put it in the jar!

Thankyou for video. have tried it. did not work. I am italian. and have fine, wavy hair. not straight asian hair so that may have something to do with it not working. It acually did nothing. and i dare say the opposite. my scalp became itchy and more hair fell out than usual. i think ill stick to my Restivoil and nioxin.

I just started using it once a week and only have done two treatments. I can say it is definitely effective. you can notice the difference straight away less hairfall less tangle feels softer and fuller. I've been also looking at u tube videos on rice water for skin and it does incredible things too so I'm continuing this
