About coconut oil, I had a few times bleached my hair at a salon from like dark brown with previous box dyes to almost platinum blonde. And the first times were a bit tough for my hair but even more for my scalp. It was, at some moments unbearable. Once, I decided to try to protect my scalp with some coconut oil before going to the salon and it really did save my scalp. It didn't hurt at all and it was so much better. So, maybe, coconut oil can at least save your skin

Few tips I got for newbies doing bleach is to make sure ur hair is already dirty just dont add in any more added oil, if ur bleaching on top of dyed hair always expect to have to bleach twice; worst colors thats stain the hair is black red and green or a blue dye with green in it. When you bleach ur hair from purple dye with blue undertones your hair will come out grey / silver or even light blonde.

I did it 4 times in one day and then 2 more a day later because i have Indian Black hair. My hair didn't fall off because i was only doing the bottom half. Even then, after a couple of months later, it just kept getting worse and worse and I had to chop it off. Would not recommend it at all

First time watching this video. I'm still at the beginning. Fanola is an Italian brand. I started out with Fanola No Yellow purple toning shampoo and now I'm using Fanola No Orange blue toning shampoo. Their products provide appreciable results at an affordable price.

Brad, I adore you. And it's because of these videos I will never, EVER attempt to bleach my own hair. Only ONE person puts bleach on my hair, and that is my super wonderful and trustworthy hair professional!

I think coconut oil would be good to use afterwards since it does have some protein in it I believe. I think it would also be useful to put on the very scalp to help prevent burning, but thats just a theory.

RE the coconut oil, it actually prevents developing. The time it takes for the bleach to get through the oil, make the bleach take longer to process. I've actually tested this on my own hair.

Hey Brad I always use coconut oil before bleaching cause my scalp is very sensitive and it does a lot for me actually. I think it works the same way as greasy hair and protects the scalp.
