Hairdresser Reacts To DIY Pixie Cuts Gone Wrong! ZuGgy: Some dogs have hair instead of fur, I think is what you were going for lol, which is true. The difference being fur sheds and the coat changes with the seasons whereas hair just keeps growing, like on poodles.
Very true on a pixie being a very hard haircut to do. I got it done proffessionally and the guy had no clue what so ever. I came home with a helmet and I had to bring out my shears and thin the absolute crap out of my hair for it to make sense. If you're going to a pro for a pixie, make 100% sure they've done pixies before!

I'd love to show you my Halloween hair, Brad. I'm 59, box dyed don't cry, I didn't know how much easier this way to dye really is, until now bright copper for 20 years. 14 months ago I lost one of my twin teenage sons suddenly, and when the first anniversary was coming up this past September, I needed something to kick me into living again. I chopped off my hair and I used Arctic Fox purple AF which is a violet purple, and love it!
This month I've changed to a bluer purple. Lunar Tides in nightshade and a dark teal, cerulean sea, accenting for Halloween. After Halloween, I'm doing the whole head with the dark teal from LT. After the new year, it will be aquamarine ocean blue. This hair coloring with non traditional colors has indeed brightened my life. It makes me have color on me despite my emotional mood that day. In the sun, these colors absolutely freaking glow! Took even ME by surprise, let alone the apartment residents' surprise. A 59 year old woman walking out her door like that. I can dress eclectic looking as well, at times. It's just me. the tie dyed sheep of the family. Once I grow it out again, I'm trying rainbow.

I went from long to pixie and hated it. Had to wait a few years for it to grow back. Never again. I highly recommend if you are unsure about it or have a moment of hmmm I don't know about this don't do it! Go to your shoulders or something mildly short and see how you feel. Don't do the big chop off rip. Waiting for it to grow back is torture in my opinion. I felt like a piece of me was missing. lol I'm venting because that was a crazy experience for me. But for some people it comes out great. Depends on the person. That was my experience, some people look better with long hair. thats me.

The first girl did an epic week-long bleach fail (it turned out rather amazing anyway) so she has no fear of some crooked layers, which look great once again. I am sporting a shorter curly cut that was originally a manic fail. I, too, broke out the razor comb in frustration only to have my mother talk me down of that ledge. It is a terrible haircut, but my curls make it look ok. I have had so many compliments on it that I am just confused. How do I get a hair stylist to re-create it after it has grown out too much? I know I won't get this lucky again doing it myself.

I've got my pixie for a year and a half now (coming from mid-back long hair, which I donated) and I'm not going back anytime soon, so I really enjoyed this video! I'm glad I let a professional do my cut though, since even as I used to cut my own hair when it was long it would have been a bit too scary to do the change by myself. Even now I've only dared to do touch ups, but not the real thing, as I'm too scared! I would love a new tutorial though, that way maybe I could overcome the fear of effing up.

Cut that hair off ladies! There s no better feeling! Plus, it s quicker to wash, style, everything! At the moment my hair is the longest I ve had it since, like, my late teens & I hate it! I ve been sick & in hospital for several months & so I haven t had the chance to get it cut, but it s driving me crazy! I m almost considering attempting it myself. I ve not done that for a looooong time- since back when I was a little punk chick with bright, chunky, spikey hair!

Shout out to #2 doing a better job at home than the hair stylist that ruined my hair too early on to be able to leave and go to another stylist to do my pixie cut when I had a bad reaction to meds forcing me to chop off all I had. I'd let her do my hair any day over the one I had that day. I'm still slightly devastated over it. It's now long enough to get it fixed somewhere else which will be happening next weekend because I ain't got the time this weekend.

Your hair always looks fabulous, boo!
It just looked like they all kind of made it harder than it had to be, but the end result was never horrible. I cut my own hair very short, it's a fluffy cyberpunk mullethawk right now. I really only use clippers, for the most part. Then clean it up with some hair cutting scissors. My picture here is outdated.
No matter what happens: hair will grow back.

I got my hair cut to a pixie in 2016 and i ve been growing it since then (im wearing a wig in my picture lol) and I finally hit 20 inches this year and im sooooo happy! Im living vicariously through these girls cus I hated my pixie cut from the moment I cut it but my hair was damaged I had to the first girls looks so good! (I ve only seen hers at the point of me typing this comment)

I mean I want it to be good but. you know. lol you are great this is one of the reasons I love you. I'd love to see any type of dread videos? I have them and I color them and I get so many questions but am always afraid to answer them because not all hair is the same lol mine tangles easily anyways it would be nice to be like hey watch this. people trust you lol

All these girls had naturally curly hair. It s impossible to mess this cut up if you have curly hair & this cut will always look good on naturally curly girls. It can be styled a gazillion different ways with curly hair so yeah, even if they had spots that were messed up it s easily hideable. Straight hair girls do NOT attempt this cut on your own. Go to a salon

I think the textured hair (the slight curls) they had, was a major factor for the result, which to me was good. Not perfect but good. I have very straight hair, so I don't believe I could get away with being whatever about it. It would immediately show and I'll be the prince from Shrek. But all of them girls were absolutely stunning.

The second reaction was a bit annoying to watch bc the criticism was extra/unnecessary like the entire video, she was doing AMAZING. Like you were genuinely better off continuing praising her instead of making it seem as if she wasn t doing good technique.
Especially since her hair was also perfect for someone that did it at home.

Hilarious that Brad mentioned his hair. I've seen it get longer in recent videos and kept thinking I really liked it and was gonna be sad when he cut it again. Lol, but babe, I make it a point not to get attached to your hairstyles. You are always changing/surprising us. It does look good on you, though, boo.

As someone who's had hair past her shoulders and went straight for a pixie cut, it is SOOOO liberating to just chop it all off! It's a very freeing experience! If you've ever thought about doing it, just do it! It's only hair and it will grow back! I keep getting the itch to cut mine again!
