There's this black permanent hair dye called Bigen. It made my whole head swell and I had hives throughout my scalp. I read that in permanent black dyes and some permanent brown dyes they put this chemical in that most of us are allergic to. It gives cancer, tumors, and one lady slipped into a coma. I stopped using permanent dyes and relaxers years ago and never had a healtheir scalp.

Ok this is gonna date me but I dyed my hair black with box dye back in college and they called me Daria/ The depressed chick cuz of how it looked on me. Been blonde in some variation of some kind since. Except when I color my hair with Xmondo color that stuff is AMAZING! It just leaves my hair better afterward and it looks awesome also. See when I went red or purple

I think makeup and styling is the key to pull off a black box dye, you need a bit of a dramatic vibe to look good in It, definitely It need some effort every day. If you like a clean style or you often leave your hair with natural messy waves It is better to go for a different color. It also ages the person who wears It very easily.

i had black box dye for a long time and i've finally gotten back to a natural brown color and have committed myself to leaving my hair alone for self love edit: i always went for revlon's soft black too. i have fine-ish, wavy hair and it always looks so nice

I have to disagree with you hard on this one Brad! In my opinion black hair looks hotttt on most people. Sure there are some people that cant pull it off but you! need to wear your hair and not let it wear you.

I did that when I was 16. I had to get it professionally fixed. The hair dresser couldn t get all of it out and it left a stripe because the box dye left a metallic residue that was a purplish green

i am mostly always a red or cooper girl but i also like come back to dark hair. as my natural dark dark brown. nothing wrong with a change. i think all 3 girls look great in the dark colour!

Permanent black dye is the devil. I mean I did it bc I had a pixie cut and some tough ass hair that refuses to ever fall out but literally it still comes out in the shower lmaooooo

black hair is amazing. Much better than bleached stringy broken blonde ends. I don't know why people think hair looks so beautiful when their hair is clearly damaged

I use Henna to dye and always start at my right ear doing the fron in small sections till the left ear and then up down the back part thats not saturated yet

Whenever I felt the urge to dye mine black I just went for dark brown. it's dark enough while being easier to remove. That or super dark maroon.

I've colored my very long hair with very dark box dye many many times, never sectioning, just globbing it on and somehow it always comes out nice.
