Pretty Bun for Work, Play, or Back to School Jane Wiseman: My hair is really thick and long and there was a time when I wouldn't even attempt something like this b/c I; d never be ale to get all my hair up into a bun flat against my head even with multiple hair ties (the best I could hope for was a top-knot situation sticking out the back) Then I started using your 'finger'teasing technique and it literally changed the way I do my hair. It gives my just enough texture to shape the hair into a unit. THANK YOU

i love all of your tutorials, but one note i would suggest is that you show us how you place the bobby pins exactly instead of simply describing it in words. i am aware that you already have a bobby pins 101 video, but it's still helpful to show us what you're doing in the back as well as in the front. lovely hair tutorials, keep it up (:

yes, i'm fully aware of that, that's what i just said in my comment if you read the entire thing. i just suggested that even though she already has a video all about bobby pins, it would make her tutorials much more thorough if she were to show us even just a glimpse of what/how she's doing the back as well as the front.

I did this tonight for our Christmas concert. At first I was kinda iffy on the teasing because my hair NEVER hold tease. But this held REALLY well The concert was a good few hours, so I just added some hairspray and everything worked out perfectly. And I got soooo many comments.

the bump has become characteristic in your updos haha. it's very cute, but i would love to see some more of the loose, undone updos like Vintage Bohemian Updo the Quick and Easy Way love your videos and congratulations on your engagement

why does everyone say back to school? it drives me nuts because it makes me think that these are for when you go back to school. not all year round. can't people just say great for school? love the look though and it's one of my faves

that's so pretty. It would also look fun if you put some very thin ribbon or colored thread in the braids. maybe a gold thread for an evening look. anyway, keep up the good work. I don't always comment but I do always watch your tutorials.
