Here's a hair tutorial on 3 iconic Star Wars hairstyles You've seen these on Leia, Padme, and Rey; now you can learn to do them on yourself I think the style of the hair in Star Wars is incredible And I love looking at how people cosplay them. Today's hairstyles are from The Force Awakens, The Attack of the Clones, and A New Hope. And I just realized they're all buns How funny Overall, I was really happy to do tutorials on these hair styles from the leading ladies of StarWars More Videos You'll Enjoy: 7 Days of Ponytails: 5 Christmas Morning Hairstyles: Three 5 Minute Curls 3 Quick Wet Hairstyles

Most of the major scifi series came about in the 1960's and 70's, at the time, sideburns and various hairstyles came into fruition and were acclimated to Science fiction long after the decade transpired. Women with Feathered hair and afro's became more common, bobed edges with loose spikes. For men, shoulder length and messy hair were more socially acceptable and by then, the rise in male attuned hair care products blossomed and men were accustomed to hairstyles that defied gravity which gave rise to helmet hair, layers, and sculpted mullets. Also the 70's was the end of an era for military and uniformed services permitting facial hair, sideburns, and various hairstyles.

So I found this video while searching for a way to do Leia's hair. I wanted the volume, but other tutorials didn't seem to do that. But you do I'm so glad I found this video. I went to sally's and bought the braid extensions and they work perfectly They look like Leia's buns Yeah So everyone, go buy those extensions. They are so light weight and worth it. Thanks for the video You have saved my cosplay

For me (a fairly curly-haired person) the key to doing Rey's hair was to style it when it was still wet. It gave it a really straight, smooth distribution and it even looked the tiniest bit greasy like it does in the movie, while not actually being greasy. Plus the hair stuck better as I was wrapping it around the little buns. Thanks for the tutorial: )

If you dont have enough hair to loop the ends around the buns for Reys hair, you can just stick the ends into the next one. I actually use this hairstyle a lot and people actually think it is pretty cool If you like it, wear it as much as you like Dont let people think you are weird for wearing the hairstyle of a character you admire

I did this version of leia buns for halloween, and it was so easy and cost effective 2. 99 a piece for the kanekalon braiding hair, and a few bucks for jumbo Bobby pins. I am not talented whatsoever, and this took me 20 minutes and lasted all night without headache. Thank you for this AMAZING idea

Thank you for this tutorial. Today I am going to do my 7 year old granddaughter's hair in Rey's style for a costume contest later. I was fairly sure that I knew the style, but your tutorial really helped I have arthritis, so the simplicity of the method is a gift.

It's so strange seeing 'Rey' everywhere because it's also my name and I've never seen or met anyone else who spells it Rey before. being a huge Star Wars fan people always think I'm making it up but it's always been my name haha

for me Ray's hairstyle is the easiest thing else for Padme and Leia are a little more complicated because Leia has a haircut with two shades and on the other hand on Padme's coke should be added artificial braids

Think you could find and do Rey's new hairstyle in The Last Jedi to be released this December? I'm going to dress as her for Halloween and finding it difficult to find any images from the back.

The one hair style I can do that most people can't with out added hair or bun makers is the Leia buns. pretty much all other styles don't work to well as my hair is ether to thick or to long. =(
