On a side note: can you over moisturise your hair? Issue; frizzy when left to its own devices, poofy after braiding, poofy after brushing, not brushing it isn't an option. I use Aussie moist shampoo + conditioner followed by argon oil and tresseme heat protect as a depoof combo, do a hair mask once a week and generally try not to upset it. Yet. still frizzy and poofy after brushing: ( help(Hair type; thick, heavy, too long to be curly anymore brown hair; never dyed, rarely straightened, on track to go grey at 30 bc crappy genetics (thanks grandma) I live in the UK so we have extreme weather changes (it went from 13c storms last week to 23c blistering sunshine this week) we haven't had the central heating on in weeks so I know it's not that) Anyone got a clue or a good defrizz holy grail product? I am allergic to chlorine so i rarely swim in pools, because a lot of them have a lot more chlorine than i can handle. I usually swim in lakes/large ponds which a lot of people find gross, all you have to do is shower, but its so cool to swim with the fish(one time i caught 5 fish bare hands, we ate good that night. Ive been to the beach once with my grandpa at 4(it was the last thing we did together before he died. My grandma always takes my siblings and cousins to the beach and not me because she hates me. She's made excuses like she didn't want to lose me when i was little and now that I'm 17 it's because im not 21(my siblings and cousins are mid 20s to 30) and she doesnt want me to feel left out by not having alcoholic drinksNEWS FLASH GRANDMA i feel left out not being able to go

As a sailing instructor I live in salt water wether it be spray from the powerboat or swimming with the kids I find I dont have time to fix my hair during the day and that I have to wash it everyday between the salt water and sweat it just feels disgusting. I discovered the herbal essences Mercela water shampoo from one of your videos a few years ago and its amazing with the salt water with out drying to much. I try not to wash my hair on my day off to try and help as well. Once or twice a week Ill put a bunch of oil in my hair and braid it and it does make a difference I have thin but wavy frizzy bleached hair so oil is great. I used to bring a leave in conditioner for days I do a pony tail but stoped for some reason I should start bringing that again

Just rinse all over or go take a quick shower and get the salt/chemicals of your entire body. And moisturize all over, your hair, nails and body will thank you. Btw I have curls (They look like I have a perm, but is just the result of my mom being white and my dad being black) and argan oil works wonders with my hair. I have this hair mist (Yes, like a face mist, but for your hair) with argan oil that I use when my hair is super dry between washes and then I use deep conditioning every single time (I wash my hair twice a week) that and I have started to get my hair trimmed every 4 month cause well, I wanna grow it out after I had a straight perm for two years so.

Love the tips except for putting oil before jumping into the water - it makes a mess in a swimming pool and is EXTREMELY harmful for marine life in ocean because none of these oils are naturally produced in the ocean and they can potentially choke and blind marine life, please be mindful of recommending that tip especially when you are so big that people will follow it No hate at all girlie, just wanna educate and spread the world especially because our beautiful oceans and marine life are borderline becoming extinct XX

Ohh this made me nostalgic. When I was little my grandma would always tell me to get my hair wet under the pool rinse shower things before i got in, then rinse my hair after I swam to make sure my hair wouldnt turn green XD I always got those shampoos that were meant to be used after swimming to wash away chlorine, I wonder why you never see adult versions of those at the store. Meh, i still use the kid ones anyway XD never too old for cute shampoo.

My hair type is dry, bleach damaged, yet somehow shiny and healthy looking. But the pool does a number on it I have found that using straight up citrus juice kills the chlorine. So immediately after swimming in a pool my hair will start turning green, so I put straight up lemon or lime juice all over it after shampooing, then shampoo again, and I condition the heck out of it. Then I go in with a hair oil once its towel dried.

I have fine hair but a LOT of it and i keep it in, like, a bob-meets-pixie style. I swear by soaking my hair in water before getting in the pool or ocean or lake Ive never added oil on top of that - because I keep my hair short it gets trimmed regularly and the water soak does the trick for chlorine but I think Im definitely going to add an oil with it next time I go to the beach because my hair and salt are arch-rivals.

Kayley I have a question, I live in Canada so we mostly have beaches that are lake water so no salt Would you still do the same hair care? Whenever I go to my cottage I feel like my hair is always softer when I wash it in the lake But could the water still be doing damage? Also thank you so much for the SPF on the scalp tips cause I just got a bit of a sun burn on my scalp and its sucks Thank you Love your videos
