What about those scalp scrubbers you can buy I know you're not to use them roughly. Just gently. I use a scalp scrubber but very very gently.
I ask because I have thyroid issues and any wet hair near my wet nail will tear it down to painfully short levels.
I appreciate more information on all things. Right now I'm dealing with most of my hair falling out and changing colors due to changes in thyroid meds. It went from beautiful red to brown and I have no clue about what the 2-4of new growth is. I think it might be curly but I have no idea. I still have red faded to brown that is hanging on. It's shoulder length. I'd cut it off but I'm scared with not knowing.

My biggest hair concern at the moment is postpartum hair loss. It hit me HARD. My hair is thinner than its ever been in my life and i just don't even know what to do with it while i wait for it to grow back. 8 months pp and I'm just now starting to see some very slow regrowth. I have a feeling several months from now I'll look crazy and need to do a big chop to even it out while it finishes growing back in. I have naurally curly hair but its natural blonde so also kinda fine. Im just frustrated with it at the moment and wear it up constantly, which I've never done.

Safiya had a video some time ago about taking time to do a skin care type cleanse of the scalp. I've used that idea in my routine since. They suggested that the scalp cleanse helps to clear the pores and follicles around the scalp. As I've tried it, I notice the hair being rather thin at the root, but as time goes one, the root looks just as thick as the rest of my hair.
Also, thank you for the routine. I have dense hair. This'll help me reach my whole scalp easier

Hi Kayley! The deep dive videos are my favorite! Thank you for sharing what you found, your expertise and showing us how to massage our hair properly! I unfortunately have been doing it wrong, so this video is very helpful and informative! I have been struggling with lifeless and frizzy fine hair. I am not sure if you have covered this topic already, but if you havent, I would love to see a video on it!

At present, my biggest hair care concern is all of it falling out. I’ve been under a lot of stress over the past several months, and my hair has been falling out at about 3-4x its normal rate for the past 7 months. I’ve also been using a silicone scalp massager in the shower to extra work in my shampoo (and sometimes hair mask) for probably about 2 years at this point.

I'd heard of scalpassage, but never had a hair-care focused routine. Definitely going to try this!
My biggest hair concern is styling! I have an all-around undercut (wolfcut) with my top hair section as long as my mid-back. So many long hair styles require the lower hairs for anchoring, but I don't have any. I would love to see some recommendations!

Totally Hair Care right now. Since I went Red last year I've had some fall out but I'm not sure how much is considered too much. My stylist doesn't seemed concerned - she'd totally tell me to see a derm if she thought it was bad - but it's still crazy. I figure it just looks so massive cause my hair has gotten so long but still. Concern abounds

I had some bad hair loss about 5 years ago - I've noticed hair growing back in little baby hairs all over my scalp for years now, but they are so thin and I think they fall out faster than my old hair! So I'm so glad to hear the change in strand thickness and lengthening the growth cycle from this, definitely going to give it a try.

Thank you for the video Kayley! I have a question though: how can I massage my scalp without making my hair greasier, so I can avoid needing to wash my hair more often
Because I have curly hair, which I straighten every time I shower, I try to keep my showers for every 5-7 days. Got any advice on that

Now that is something I definitely need in my life! Gonna bookmark it to come back to.
And for a hair concern, well, I am probably in the minority with that but I have very short hair (about 2 inches) and I cut it myself. It looks alright (and, boy, is it fun) but maybe you have some tipps for that

my biggest hair concern right now is ponytail breakage. i use satin scrunchies, i don't brush my hair while wet, but still get breakage. i can't not wear a ponytail when i work out, and it's just easiest most of the time. is there a way to mitigate breakage even more than what i'm doing

We love a lady who brings us peer-reviewed SCIENCE to our care routines. Thank you for sharing your research into the topic and pointing out where the research is still lacking. I love a good scalp massage. I find it helps so much with tension headaches. All good stuff in this video!

Sitting here too lazy to hop in the shower and now I’m excited to massage my shampoo! lol. Biggest hair concern right now is the change in texture. My typical blowout does not work for me anymore (I’m 55 now, so I have to use hot tools to get any sort of life in my strands.

The most beneficial thing we can do for our stress levels is not enable the rise of fascism in our country, and demand equal rights, universal healthcare and education, and an end to the never ending wars of men.

I am 2 babies postpartum (3 years, 1 year) and my hair is gloriously long (touches base of tailbone ) but I worry about breakage and dryness. If you haven't covered this and have easy busy mom things

I think my scalp is dry. Its awful after shampooing. I find not using sulphates makes a bit of a difference but its been like this for years. It seems like the shampoo is drying ny scalp out.

Could you please recommend a hair bangs clip to try out before I commit to do it on my own hair. A quality hair bang an inexpensive one woul be really nice. TIA. Btw nice to see you back on YT.
