we are going to create this fabulous Encapsulated Chain In a Clear Ballerina. OMG How cool is that? So, we've got the wonderful Meg Feather on today's episode, please if you haven't already. Follow her on Instagram to check out her amazing makeup techniques So, first of all, we are going to be sculpting out a ballerina shape, so we're gonna need to dehydrate the nail, add a little bit of acid based primer and then we are going to start sculpting out the nail with a bead of clear acrylic and our plan is to sandwich the chain between a layer of acrylic and a layer of acrygel. Before, doing this make sure you cut up your chains to your preferred sized because you want this to stretch over the nail but not too much. Now, I'm gonna get some Gel Residue Wipe Off solution and then pick up a bead of It's Clear Dear and start sculpting over the ballerina nail because this is what we're gonna use to adhere the chain. Once you've attached the chains cure the nail for a minute. Now, we're going to encapsulate the chains insides the ballerina design using another layer of clear acrygel. After doing this, we are going to pinch the nail and then start to sculpt out the design using an electric file, a hand file, and a buffer. Finally, we are going to topcoat the design to seal it all in and then we are going to cure it. Next, I'm going to add a few stones using the clear acrygel and topcoat and then I'm gonna finish with some cuticle oil

I love how you used these chains from old jewelry, one thing I have done for ages is keep old earrings and rings never thought about keeping the chain though for some reason, and I would use them for nail gems. I started doing that because I will keep those LOL and there's some really cute tatted earrings that you just take off the part that goes in your ear and she usually have to file down the little nub that gets left behind and then you can adhere them too the nail quite simply. I would also take the gems out of old broken jewelry before I ever knew about sorosky crystals. And still do because they are free and work amazing. Love your videos You guys make a great team, hilarious team.

Hi kirsty when you put the first clear layer down and saying its super thin would it hold up if you took the form off, Ive seen people place the first layer down remove forms even leave them and come back to doing them the next day, so seeing these and what I think youve placed down it would be ten times thicker I can barely see the layer youve placed so just wanted some clarity xx

For inspiration and just for fun, British Columbia Canada would welcome you with open arms and perhaps an open beverage. You have a very Canadian sense of humor and would fit in beautifully. Love your videos and as someone who suffers from depression, you very often make my day a lot brighter. Thank you so much.

it's nice to see who Kirsty is working on, sometimes you do but usually you just see the hand of that person. Love the way Kirsty does her videos ie explaining everything as she does it. How does she come up with all these designs, i struggle when someone comes in without a design in mind.

When speaking you start out loud but then your voice drop and it is difficult to hear and more difficult because of your accent. Lovely work though, you are very talented. Is it possible to come to Barbados to do a workshop

I contracted cellulitis at a nail salon after a pedicure so I dont go at all now. However, I enjoy listening to the banter whilst I do my own nails at home I am always blown away by the creativity. Fantastic artist

Hello How would you remove that type of nail if you can't soak it off? I work with hard gels and can imagine that its not good for my efile to remove those. Do you have to handfile them off? Thank you in advance

Beautiful, as usual. My brain was so asleep when you started putting on the chain that I thought. How the hell do you get that off. Then I remembered that acetone is an awesome thing Lol
