I never in my life wear long nails. The amount of germs and etc. That get under the nails and etc. Nasty. And another how do u go to the bathroom and wipe. Same with showering and getting all areas clean. I could never touch someones hands with nails this long. Can u say germs, no wonder people are getting sicknesses they never had before. I won't touch anyone and sorry if that sounds mean. My bf is the same way and she has a daughter that got mono from school. After drinking at the water fountain. She was 12 and 2 days later she was rushed to a hospital for kids. She had to have blood given to her and her spleen gotten large and she spent a week in the hospital. it's been 2 yrs since that happened. And she still has some pain where her spleen is. I'm 41 and kids back in my day could drink out if a hose and not have to worry. I'm native American and we would drink after one another. Now we don't cause all the these things are going around. I don't understand what has changed between them and now. But this is nasty when I see this, cause I think of all the germs.

Im so glad you mentioned the long skin under the nail I never understood how it grew but I learned the hard way when I wore the same set for a really long time and when I went to remove them I ripped that skin OFF on some nails. I didnt get fake ones for a long time after that. I know I know. I could have prevented it by getting it done at a salon.

I had gel polish on my short, thin nails and they appeared to be growing out so nice. That was until i had the polish removed. They were crumbled and split underneath. Same thing happened with acrylics years ago. I might have some kind of hormonal imbalance or won the genetic lottery yay

If you don't have a specific type of nail oil, can you use all natural coconut oils? I used to use coconut oil to help dryness around my nails and it helped. But I was just wondering if you actually could use different types of vitamin oils or coconut oil.

The way I removed my acrylics was using nail clippers and a nail file that was metal worst way and most damaging ever I also just kinda broke off the one that lifted so I had to use a medical polish and still using one 2 weeks later
