Hi everybody Were at NABDA in Scotland and today were making a tip and overlay look like a sculpt. We have 2 different tips and one of our tips has a stronger c-curve. When applying the tip, make sure the sidewall is nice and straight. After gluing the tip on, Im going to pinch the tip in to keep it flush to the natural nail. Im then cutting the tip to length and then file the nail into shape before blending the tip to the natural nail by filing the contact point very thin. Dehydrate and prime the nail in preparation for the acrylic. And surprise, surprise, Im using Natural Beige. Ill start with my first bead at the tip and then apply a second bead at the cuticle and blend together. Test pinch the nail with your fingers until its not sticky. Pop the tool on quickly and then check its not squished, if it hasnt, pinch the nail fully. Im then going to file the nail. To make the tip look like a sculpt, Im going to take my e-file and at a 45 degree angle, thin the end of the tip from underneath. Finish by buffing the nail, wiping over with Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution and Top Coat

Fabulous as always. Unfortunately where I live I am not racist but the Vietnamese on 98% and 99% of all the nail salons around here. They refuse to sculpt they will not put a sculpting form on they do tips with an overlay and it is just ungodly. They will put the biggest blob on and then they don't even I don't even shape it it's I can't even begin to explain and then the product that they use I don't know what they're using but it your your tips just pop right off that's just it and then when you go in they charge you an extra 5 some of them 7 to 10 just for one fingernail because they didn't put it on properly. the last time I went and had any done I didn't even let him finish filing I got up and walked out it was that bad and they all were off within 2 days and it cost me 65 American and it was just the most repulsive set of nails and he owned the place he said. They refuse to do a ballerina shape even with a tip that's 15 extra dollars and then they still going to give you the ballerina. If you want a sticker put on 5 if you want gel top coat on 10 by the time you walk out it's astronomical it's ridiculous and then they just pop off in 2 days and your nail bed is all damaged it's all completely dented in. I'm legally blind and I do my own I'm crippled so I got to stand up and walk around blah blah blah come back I don't see the whole fingernail when I'm doing my own but I get more compliments on my nails and then anything. that is probably because I'm blind and my clothes are on inside out and backwards a lot of the time oh and my shoes are the same so sometimes the colors don't match and I don't know that but Hey Nobody's Perfect. Love ya keep them coming

I just LOVE these video classes I always learn SO MUCH I LOL'ed when Kirsty mentioned her overly fake-tanned hands. That is some Trump-level (Trumpian) orange she's got going there I actually noticed it in the first video of this class, but I don't remember if I commented on her Trumpian orange hands on that first one. What really cracks me up about Trump's orange-ness is that he doesn't know enough about spray tans to know to cover his WHITE hair So when his spray tan is fresh, he's a ginger. As his face fades, so does his hair. It goes from ginger to strawberry blonde, to blonde to white. It's crazy-funny to watch him change colors day after day. I feel sorry for the poor sod that has to spray that orange crap all over his obese, awful body, and you just _know_ that he gets his spray tans totally nude. Maybe he's got a little sense of dignity and wears a Speedo? But I rather doubt it, considering how much he _loves_ to assault and humiliate women.

After learning how to do my own nails this past year and using your entire routine for prep, form fitting, application, and filing, I'm proud to say I love sculpting and have gotten very good at pinching, shaping, filing, etc. I haven't used tips in 8 months. :) Also I only use my efile around my cuticles for finish filing just because my hands get stiff (old injury. Thank you so much for all your help and inspiration You are the absolute best imo. I'm disabled and only work on myself but I dream of getting healthy and getting my license one day. This nail hobby has got me through a lot of tough times, and so have your videos. Love Adam too and can't wait for another Faye set, or Andreas extreme shaped nails, hell even JJ's. Hope you all have a great weekend, love from Tennessee, U. S. A.

I wanted to cry when I heard these amazing women talk about their prices. So many amazing artists in our industry live and charge in a mindset of scarcity and competition instead of taking the power and knowing the worth of their artistry and time. I love that you travel and empower these artists with the technical ability to hopefully make that change for themselves so they can live in mindset of abundance and prosperity. It doesnt happen over night, its taken me 8 years to build the confidence, technical ability, and trust with my client to build to 100 haircut and 200 color services. Dont settle, always progress and further yourself

Thats why I love you bcuz you do sculpt a nail like I love to do. my clients do come back for a fill after 3 to 5 weeks to a month an half. if there is broken nails, its bcuz they accidentally banged their nails. I. hate glueing and sizing the nails tips and cut and blend them. not people has perfect nail beds and its so hard to glued those tips on a flat and wide nail beds. I agree with you. sculpting is faster. and you can costumize whatever nail type you want to achieve.

If any Americans can go to this class you should especially if you dont live in a big city. Youd make so much money here with these skills. No one does sculpting, really no one can do or will do anything unique. You can get basic tips with acrylic and pick a color thats it. The people at the salon hate anyone who wants anything different and its crazy expensive and we wont even get into the how unsanitary even nice salons are

Kirsty your arms and hands are all dark and really tan but your face/neck are different color lol. Is it the light thats making you look darker or did you use a self tanner type thing? Either way I can only dream of having a nice dark tan lol I'm so white but I don't want to go tanning because of my tattoos but I also haven't found a self tanner that works great and doesn't streak

Kirsty, what do they teach in nail schools now? I would be ashamed to charge someone for what most nail techs pass off as nails now. I know when I've gone to get nails they always want to tip them instead of sculpt. I wondered why. Now I know. Adam, for most of the video the audio and the video was off. The talking was like watching an old talkover martial arts movies. Out of sync.

Yes, I sculpt nails all the time, can't remember last time I actually used a tip. It's much faster. I think alot of ppl just either don't know how to do a sculpted nail or don't like doing it. My new clients ask why I do it this way and they tell me they have never seen it done the way I do it (sculpted) I love sculpting them, I think it's easier also. TFS I love your videos
